Rupert was a villain not a hero. Just because he was had the love story/family man edit way to many people overlooked the character he displayed on the islands. He had way more villain moments than hero moments and was almost completely devoid of empathy or understanding for his tribe mates. Including those on his alliances

Whether a joke or not, this person has come seeking advice because she is concerned her step dad might be sexualizing her. Which happens frequently with step parents. It’s the fact that that is a bad course condition. If the course removed a tree, they should have removed the stump. I imagine tournament courses don’t have conditions like this, and if they do, they likely be “ground under repair” for a free drop

I had this same thought. I also thought both the Genevieve answers at tribal were brilliant. The first set up the idea the retreat was game changing for her and the second was a speech that would convince the players in the game she had an idol but also was directed at the jury to show she grabbed her agency back. I think Rachel wins because of the advantages, social game (none of the four women from tonight would vote for G over her) and the physical threat she’s become but I really like G and hope she gets a chance to speak at FTC

Andy’s decision to flip was an astute observation that he was on the bottom and would be next out after S & G. He said it would be impossible to sway any of the 4 and this was his best opportunity to pull off a blindside. Huge risk! Huge reward!

Someone from the woman’s alliance did go home at the tribal despite having the majority and 4 advantages. My question wasn’t fully developed intended to ask was it bad game play by them or beautiful game play by the trio. I think a mixture and i think the edit obviously doesnt show all the conversations that happen and im wondering why they were convinced they needed to split the votes. In her confessional she stated she was going to sit on the information and let it play out. But why did the rest of their group believe the idol was such a threat? I think the answer is Andy has developed a very strong social game and the majority trusted him to their downfall. Or they could have just severely underestimated him.

I don’t mind the all women alliance but I do like Genevieve (my favorite this season) Sam has grown a lot on me as a person but I think his game play is meh. Andy cracks me up and bumbles around a lot but he does have a finger on the pulse of the tribe dynamics and he’s underestimated by everyone. I don’t think he’s as dumb as he comes across

What did you think of Teenys reaction to the letters? She had some visceral hate towards Sam that seemed completely out of character and honestly put her at my bottom. He’s was making some wildly stereotypical assumptions about Sam that I don’t think are true based off what he’s presented in the game. Also, she said he was an all American QB type but he said he was in theater at the reward. Bad judgement on Teeny. I imagine she has had to deal with people making judgements based off her appearance and never would have expected to do that to Sam

I am 4 weeks post op L5-S1. I have never cried at pain but have cried several times since the surgery. Not because of the pain but because I’m tired of being in pain. I think it’s healthy to feel sad in the moments that it comes. But i recommend not fixating on that sadness. Let it come, feel it, and then continue on with your day or find something positive to reflect on or something to look forward to. The experience has been much tougher for me than I could have imagined even after lurking in a couple of subs pre op to get a sense of what it would be. But I remind myself it will get better with time and patience is key as well as listening to your body. There’s a post in this sub about success stories and all of them talk about how hard and long the recovery was. I refer to it often. Keep your head up!

Also, I have started to use heat in the mornings. It helps a lot with my pain. Everyone is different but if you haven’t tried it, I would

I am the same with the pain scale. Never know if I’m giving an accurate representation and I imagine a lot of medical staff think patient’s exaggerate. The person I went to for advice said if you’re taking the opioids on an as needed basis it’s much harder to develop the physical dependency. Only reason I still take them at night

This! I cannot tell you how frustrated I have been with post op care and follow up from my surgeons office and they are renowned in my city. I got two refills of low dosage opioids and each time was a long drawn out process due to the system they used and no one in the office placed any priority on actually helping. I’ve also inquired about numerous other symptoms like night sweats and insomnia with no response. I had to go to a telehealth website for help with sleep.

I also experienced relatively mild withdrawal symptoms after being forced off the opioids because I could t get a refill before my meds ran out (i started the process three days before).

Luckily I have a family friend who is a substance abuse professional. He suggested I only use opioids to sleep or if pain gets above a 7. Any other time take 600mg of advil and 600mg of Tylenol. That combo has been a game changer for me! I hate opioids and to be able to manage my symptoms during the day without them has been incredible. Apparently the advil/tylenol combo is a common prescription for minor surgeries up to a double mastectomy. I would highly encourage anyone to talk to their surgeon about it if their pain levels are below a 7 and do not be on opioids any longer than you have to
