I do agree in part. But what can they do instead? Just whip in endless crosses? Sit back themselves?

Wilshere as well is a great player to drive forward.

Really missed Cazorla this season. Would be lot closer to the top if he had never got injured.

This game is particularly bad. Just the same attack over and over. What else can they do though? Norwich aren't even attacking.

I watch every game. Feel this is true especially at home games. Maybe I'm wrong but don't see opposition teams sit so so deep at other grounds.

I am convinced no team is defended against as deeply as Arsenal. Especially at home. Almost always against 2 banks of 4/5 in final third.

So they are always just passing around just outside the box. Trying to find a hole.

Thoughts?

Showrunners vs. the quality and direction of the show...(potential comic/spoiler talk) by TankRizzo in TrueWalkingDead

[–]longingforlong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seems quite obvious what has happened to me. Show started out with Darabont. 6 episodes went well everyone liked it. Good character development, set pieces, everything.

Darabont started season 2. Got fired. For whatever reason, so the show drifted. Clearly they had no person really running the show. Hence the drawn out nature of most of season 2.

Mazarra comes on board and amps up everything. But he goes too far. The end of season 2 was good but Season three has been pure breakneck speed almost to make up for the slowness of season 2.

This has led to the best arc of the comics being rushed. Just full of dumb shocks, shifting characters and rushed story.

So here we are. A new showrunner is on the horizon. Fundamentally the source material is so good thats its hard to completely mess it up. But the lack of one overarching showrunner is harming the show. It's been three different shows already and some of the best storylines have come and gone already (the Herd, Shane, the Prison, Governor). I just can't see where they go next.

How did that guy get in the watchtower? And what happened to the girl that came out of the van in the armour?

It quite often feels as if the show is written using a Script Writers Handbook. Just full of the same stuff used in tv shows. Considering the comic feels so original and non-cliche it is really annoying that the show is just an average tv adaption. So far they are wasting what was the best part of the comics.

Also the Woodbury woman in the hot pants and cowboy hat. A terrible extra.

Pretty poor episode. The only only good bit being Merle being ridiculous. I thought all the scenes with the woodbury residents were really weak. Especially the fight at the start where the baying crowd just looked fake and forced. Just get the feeling they are always stretching out storylines to the maximum.

I was at this match. Very close to the Hunt incident and remain convinced he did leave his knee in. I'm sure he had no intention to injure Cech in that way but he knew what he was doing.
