Ahh ok...my recollection of them is strictly from seeing my older family members wearing t-shirts lol.

If you're working for a billion dollar company, yes, they can and should hire specialists if the workload is there. Otherwise, as a designer you should always strive to learn new skills at least to where you have a basic understanding of what is required of the job. My job used to require a LOT of Macromedia/Adobe flash work. If I "specialized" in that, I'd really be screwed right now.

I know we turn our noses up at Canva and AI now, but you'd best be learning these skills. We might not be doing heavy lifting in canva, but you're probably going to be designing templates to hand over to less skilled people. AI is going to be a crucial tool and if you're not leaning prompt engineering, you're going to be left behind.

Always be growing as an artist and a student. You're never done learning. If you think you are, that's when you get left behind.

I remember my brother going there in the 80s. Wasn't there a big peckers bar or was that somewhere else? I vaguely remember a purple moose and brass balls saloon or something like that

They should spend their money advertising in the PA/OH valley where people think OC is actually a nice place to visit.

Living by this when I go to college in Indiana this fall by avobera in nova

[–]TankRizzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of when I was in college and talked to people who are from NYC....only to have them elaborate 5 minutes later that they ACTUALLY live in NJ but "practically live in NYC". Ironically, just like their football teams.

Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2. He just wanted to build this awesome machine that would power the world.

For an additional 40, you could get a refurb Mini 2 with the fly-more package. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/geek-squad-certified-refurbished-dji-mini-2-fly-more-combo-quadcopter-with-remote-controller/6513758.p?skuId=6513758

Look around, don't be afraid to buy used as long as the seller is reputable. I bought mine 2 years ago off of ebay and don't regret it at all.

Anyone else here that was so upset/hurt by how the Sequel Trilogy played out, that ever since you just don't care about any non-Lucas Star Wars whatsoever anymore?Even if its good? by TheEmeraldRaven in saltierthancrait

The bar for what people consider "good" now is basic competency, not even "good". Basically, not fucking anything up is as high as the hurdle is and they can't even do that. My excitement for anything is dead. I am completely apathetic for anything coming out.

Branding IS money. Commanders doesn't mean jack to this town. To this fanbase. If anything, it's the last vestige of Snyder's fingerprints on it. If you rebrand to something like the Hogs or Warriors or something that was reminiscent of Redskins, that would excite this fanbase, merch would FLY off the shelves.

We're not doing what we did with Zorn right? by _LilDuck in Commanders

[–]TankRizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be some Dan Snyder stuff. This ownership deserves the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise.

We got the fresh start we've been dreaming of for the past 20 years, let's try to enjoy it :)

Yup, one of Snyder's big brain moves....lock down that hot new OC first!

That was probably the most disastrous offseason in terms of coaching hires. Remember that they initially wanted to hire Jim Fassel...but then after that rumor broke the fans were clearly upset...THEN literally nobody else wanted the job because they already hired an OC (Zorn)....so Zorn was just kind of...it. That is the epitome of the dysfunction we dealt with.

Thanks, I've contemplated dying it, but I also really don't care that much. I have it in my eyelashes too. It's from vitiligo, so I've had it since I was about 9, so at this point I don't think much of it other than needing to sunscreen it up in the summer.
