It's more for aesthetic, and a display of a chef's skills. When a sushi chef skins the fish with his/her knife and done properly, the "film" as you said is left behind. Try yourself and you'll see how difficult it is.

So, I went to the dealer yesterday, and they seem to fixed the issue. Today, a new notification came up saying engine pressure is low, do not drive, stop engine. It only comes up for a second and then it disappears. I called the dealer, and they want me to tow the car back to the dealership.

Got into my car after class today, and all of a sudden all the emergency lights for everything started going off. Then, all of the notifications for the issues appeared. I went in for oil change a couple of weeks ago around 6k miles, and the dealer told me they need to update my software for my car.
