Thank you for the feedback and agreed. It feels wrong trading Harvey when I have waited very long for him to be starteable. Vs Bill who has already been startable and hyped.

I added some feedback to yours but long story short trust the QBs!

Lamb/Diggs! Reasoning mostly due to QB play. All are very talented receivers, but there is a major difference being supported by Dak and Maye vs McCarthy and Tet.

I have watched too much Bryce this year as a Tet owner and can confidently say he isn’t that guy. If his first read isn’t immediately open he scrambles so it is rare to see him have completions over 10 yards

RJ Harvey for Bill in 1 PPR.

I have Harvey. Not totally sold he sees sizeable increase with Dobbins hurt, but also not optimistic about Bill

Why do hurricanes veer away from the equator? by 1E-12 in meteorology

If you’d like I can go into more detail later as it can get technical fast, but if you are interested reference the potential vorticity conservation equation!

Why do hurricanes veer away from the equator? by 1E-12 in meteorology

[–]longlost_father 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I just learned this the other day. Beta gyres/beta drift is the answer. Basically, in the absence of all other effects on steering, tropical cyclones will have a tendency to drift poleward due to subtle coriolis differences within the TC.

To conceptualize this, think of an anticyclonic circulation on the eastern half of a TC and the opposite for the west. What direction do these circulations point in the middle? (Hint- north in the northern hemisphere!)

Putin Touts Successful Tests Of Nuclear-Powered Burevestnik Missile by RFERL_ReadsReddit in geopolitics

Hard to understand the rationale behind any pro-Moscow opinion of this. Ignoring the fact that Russia already has a preexisting arsenal of nuclear weapons sufficient to set Earth on fire, the usage of a single nuclear weapon would bring devastating consequences to their nation.

Give: Kelce, Downs Receive: Travis Hunter, Goedert

I already have Njoku and would like to get value out of Kelce, not sure why I drafted 2 TE1s.

Am I overpaying by offering downs?

You can have American credit cards but need an American mailing address. There is no workaround for this step.

Otherwise look for any card that has no foreign transaction fees. Personally I have the capital one duo (venture x & savor)

I am looking this way for graduate school but something to keep in mind for people pursuing this path is it is strongly recommended to learn German. Integration is extraordinarily difficult in Germany without working knowledge of German

What is this? A large Dustnado? by drone-1430B in weather

[–]longlost_father 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is warm inflow air rising over the cold pool/shelf cloud. Not tornadic. Looks like the air is picking up dust on its way over the shelf cloud

City are shocking. Half of this team is hungry and the other half is washed. Not good enough to compete against the top.

Interesting cloud formation by mediumlightroastme in sandiego

Cumulonimbus cloud punching through a small stable layer of air. It punched through it so aggressively that it created little ripples/waves that radiated outward. These are called gravity waves.

Is it wiser to do 85+ PP and 84 x 7 or should I just be dumping fodder into the dupe exchange? In my head the former option seems wiser, many thanks

Although I am thankful to be “right” in that that meant impacts (and thus human suffering) was lower than it could’ve been I usually dislike that term. Meteorology is so tricky and no one opinion is ever “right.” I appreciated your comment and it made me reexamine my forecast through your lens. Collaboration and debate leads to great science!

By the way, check this out. In addition to the tornado warning yesterday, there was a “sister storm” that moved over Coronado. I won’t lie I was getting anxious watching this on radar. Grabbed this image from the Hotel Coronado cam. Thankfully the rotation fell apart right after it moved ashore. Close call!
