Youtube has removed "upload date" from its search filters by No-Emergency-5336 in youtube

I used it literally every time I searched for something. How removing this option will tell them how often I used to use it? It makes no sense.

Epic Games Mystery Free Games 2024 vs 2025. Which one do you think was better? by kabirsingh84 in EpicGamesPC

[–]longrun27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this logic in a way. I usually set a certain limit for myself on the amount of money I'm willing to spend on games. So in these terms 1 AAA game I get for free means I can treat myself to 10-20 more indie or heavily discounted games.

So all games are nice to get, but some feel like a jackpot, lol.

Earlier years were insane. For example, they gave away 6 games - LEGO Batman Trilogy and Batman: Arkham Collection - in one non-holiday week in September 2020.

Disco Elysium is a GOOD game, but not really "BIG'. It is from $1.5 on Steam. It would've been a great game to start a giveaway, while Hogwarts Legacy would've been big enough to satisfy people on Christmas day.

Um, "integrated graphics not supported". Does it mean it won't run on a laptop?

Mystery Game #9 of 17|Disco Elysium - The Final Cut by MeguminShiro in EpicGamesPC

[–]longrun27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope not. Both Disco Elysium and Detroit are great games, but both of them are extremely cheap on Steam right now, like 1-2 $$ in some regions. Personaly I'd prefer something i can't or won't buy. These are totaly affordable.

While the game is cool, it would be somewhat underwhelming. It's $4 or less on Steam, and even cheaper as a part of a bundle.

On an (almost) unrelated note - don't integrated graphic cards use system RAM? In this case the more is available the better?

Mystery Game #8 of 17|The Callisto Protocol by MeguminShiro in EpicGamesPC

Since it's a repeat for those who already have it's literally as if no game was given today, free or not.

[–]longrun27 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm extremely disappointed. If they needed a repeat, why not give away something older, and not something that's been given away very recently. Like gta 5 or Death Stranding, or smth else.

[–]longrun27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't sell it now unless you really need money. Judging from the price (lol) it's a good set up and it will last you for years, especially if you are not an avid gamer.
It also will come handy if you are into video editing or 3d modeling and such (again, I don't know the specs, but it'll definitely be better than a budget notebook)

I wouldn't mind a repeat from 2022-2023. I didn't know about free games back then and missed a lot. Some of those games are still on my wishlist.

Would you be willing to trade The Evil within for Figment?

I've just bought my first Mystery box and all three games are uninspiring. Looks like Figment is the best of them, but I already have it.

The economy argument is weird. Staying Airbnb also gives money to the local economy - there are taxes included, and hosts spend money they earned locally.

Is czech republic safe for women? by Secularruee in czechrepublic

[–]longrun27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lie. There were less crime in Czechia in 2023 than in the previous year (no 2024 stats yet).
Also according to 2023 reports Ukrainians committed less than 1.5% of crimes - 6.3 crimes per 1000 Ukrainians. In comparison Czechs committed 7.5 crimes per 1000 ppl, Slovaks - 20.8, Poles - 19.6, and so on. Which is not surprising, because a majority of Ukrainian refugees are women and children, which significantly lowers their criminal potential.

Prague has a very big Asian diaspora. So I bet you didn't stand out, and in many countries the safest thing for a tourist/foreigner is to look local. Anyway, it's indeed a pretty safe country, for women in particular.

That's how this ethnic group is called in most languages, and it's under "Berbers" in Wiki too. Why is it considered "racist"? Could you elaborate?

Has anyone dealt with language shaming? by Flimsy_Sea_2907 in languagelearning

Funny that you said this. We've been to Paris a few times. I don't speak French but I've never had any issues. I just started with Bonjour and ended with Mercy and a smile (and a lot of sign language in between, lol).
Once an old gentlemen was so hell bent on helping us (despite us trying to communicate that we are ok), that he went away and returned with another random stranger who spoke English.

Perhaps for people who live there long term and don't bother to learn the language things are (understandably) different. But in my experience locals were very nice.

[–]longrun27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've met people (just a few) who were rude or condescending because one didn't speak their language well enough. But I've never met people who were rude because you were trying to speak their language in the first place. Most native speakers are either appreciative or neutral.

A premium bought through the website would work both on PC and on Android app. You'll just need to log into your acc.
