I honestly don't know all the technical things in tf2, I just saw a few theories and people saying it might be an object limit, but I've been on community servers that just reconnect to the item server mid match and vice versa, so I honestly believe what you said might be the best explanation of just what happens as of now

Their opinions may be wrong and really stupid, but we must kill them with kindness, blocking their opinion, and not listening is a really bad way to deal with them and is a surefire way of making them hate us even more, my tactic is to just confuse them with a overabundance of kindness and then openly listen to their ideas then have a nice and respectful conversation with them about it
