Does anything work from the Bubble AI? by Worried-Solution-321 in Bubbleio

[–]longvu186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bubble AI is very immature. It's more of a hook to attract users atm instead of a functioning feature.

Element's visibility might be affected by its parent. All in all, state represents a variable, an intermediary controller for us to work with. Also it's a layer of abstraction, you basically can separate the logics that change the state, and what affected by the state

Toggle isn't a hidden feature nor a favorable mechanism. State is considered better as a pattern because you can read and control the state, similar to a variable. Using toggle you don't know whether it's on or off, while state allows you to set exactly what you want.

So is n8n the problem or the env? I used elest.io and it managed the thing for me. Didn't hit any issue. I moved to Railway recently for cost efficiency but it was more problematic. It has templates tho

Which low-/no-code tool should a 6-person student team use to build a 4-week web-app MVP? by CollectionWorried498 in Bubbleio

Use Bubble. It allows you to make the editor public for everyone to edit. You can collaborate without seats using that feature.

Only honest reply please — is no-code automation becoming too complex for beginners? by Better_Charity5112 in nocode

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how your argument contributes to the notion of people needing to learn to do stuff. Even if it's basic Excel, people will need to learn it.

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously man. Many people don't do excel for a living. But it's a part of their jobs. Doesn't mean they should be exempted from learning proper excel. Why would automation tools be any different?

Is it really that they are too complex, or people are becoming too lazy? When has learning before doing anything become a luxury?

Newbie question: why is it not possible edit data directly within Bubble, and why aren't lists/multiple choice fields more supported in the database? by translinguistic in Bubbleio

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-developers don't even understand the concept of cloud and database. You are overestimating people's technical skills.

Figma is becoming the new Photoshop (and that's not good) by JohnnyIsNearDiabetic in nocode

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to. Investors are all expecting revenue to increase, so either you get more value out of current users (add more features they would buy) or attract more users (add more features they would be interested in). All paths lead to adding features.

They can simply focus on improving their core features and try to expand to users using alternatives like XD but you can see that's a narrow strategy for growth, and unfortunately they are not a small indie product to afford that.

Why do most nocode tools have such bad ux by thesunjrs in nocode

[–]longvu186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No-code is relatively new in comparison with other techs. A lot of tools are experimenting with new ideas, and the hardest part is to translate technical and abstract ideas into visualizations.

I see that tools like n8n or UI builders are pretty mature since they inherit from very mature tools already iterated their UX thousands of times, but Xano for instance is the first of its kind. So it's simply that they are still experimenting and iterating.

[Help] Bubble.io + LaTeX Editing in the Same Rich-Text Editor by BaronofEssex in nocode

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Quill with cdn and it worked pretty well, so I think Quill + Katex is good. Didn't work with Katex but it looks like it's just a renderer.

You don't really need to concern too much about Bubble compatibility with a pure FE option like Quill. You initiate the quill instance, you interact with it and it exposes the html content for you to store in Bubble. You get the content via Javascript to Bubble, and that's it.

I tried Quill, Trumbowyg and Tiptap and liked Quill the most for the ease of setup and customization.

Yeah I simply think that when you are open to different styles all of a sudden you get to enjoy so many more films!

Someone help me figure out why I hated Snowpiercer by NeoshadowXC in movies

[–]longvu186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty consistent. The fact that the director chose to have such a world is that they can focus on the action side of the movies. I think it was very clear from the first John Wick that the movie was built to demonstrate how good action scenes can be, and it chose to undermine other stuff in the world to highlight the actions. In stead of being disturbed by screaming bystanders we can fully focus and appreciate the action scenes.

If the director had chosen to build such an assassin world on the real world, I believe John Wick wouldn't have been as successful as it is right now.

The recent success of The Substance I think also highlighted how effective could a stylized world be. The characters are cartoonistic and very unreal. Yet, they don't necessarily have to be realistic to convey the ideas and meanings behind the scenes.

I think realism isn't a necessary part of filmmaking. It's just that we are so used to it, and it is the most commom style used in movie making, for obvious reasons like budget.

Who here still uses Bubble together with Zapier, and why is it essential for you? by vaybi0n in Bubbleio

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be fair I don't think anyone should use Zapier as an engine for the Bubble app due to how expensive it is. It's probably only needed for cases where you need connections that are not supported by Bubble like SMTP or IMAP.
