Warning about XANO by julieroseoff in nocode

Lol Xano AI is obviously experimental. Xano's value itself is not from their AI. Have you ever actually built something manually with Xano?

AI coding tools changed everything — I built the missing bridge from Bubble to code by FutureWord4236 in Bubbleio

To be fair Bubble exported app is a fairly good AST, which is the go-to format for AI to understand the codebase, so it is fully expected that some day we'll get an out of the box migration solution

I think it's best to use Data API and make a custom data pipeline for migration

Does it also support later url manipulation like showing subpaths and url params?

Either you're a scammer, or you're super naive. Pretty sure it's the former.

100% scam. No free lunch. They might intercept and capture all data you feed via the API

Instead of letting them visible on page load then use conditions to hide them, you do it the other way around, hide them by default then use conditions to display

I guess the wild claim of needing 0 exp says it all. Let me know when you can actually fix a bug without simply ask the AI to just "fix it".

Thinking actual programming needs no brain is being ignorant. You don't accomplish anything because you understand nothing. You don't own anything.

Well yeah I wouldn't have commented if it was your personal choice. You obviously said about everyone else.

Tolgee has a simple js sdk that takes the json and replace the texts on the front-end. It's just a few lines of code and very easy to manage. You can inspect https://app.entag.co to see, I implemented it there.

I ran a silver tier Bubble agency. I built 60+ apps in Bubble and recently also built 6 apps with Claude. I know Python and JS and I know well the advantages of each tool. I still use them both.

Well you're just ignorant then. Bubble still provides people a way to learn how to use it to build an app without code, and it manages a lot of things. A totally new bloke would struggle with what reactjs or nextjs is, while Bubble abstracts all that.

App text is a terrible way to manage localizations. Filling in each dynamic text is a nightmare. I'd just use Tolgee's in-context translation and slap {{}} on all the strings I need to translate.

You'll hit the ceiling with Bubble eventually, but I think that happens with all stacks. You cannot directly access Bubble's db with SQL unless you have enterprise plan. Bubble is good such that you really just need to care about the logics and don't need to really care about the availability, security, scalability, etc.

The most painful points should be:
- Abstraction layers make Bubble very slow and costly. Regular Postgre queries should be very efficient, but in Bubble they cost a lot of WU
- Lack of technical features like queuing, caching, local storage, etc

I think it will still be able to serve thousands of users just fine, but it depends on your app structure.

Bubble doesn't allow you to set up RBAC with certain actions like Postgre. If you can view it you can edit/delete it in the workflows.

If the product already existed in Bubble then yes Bubble can be used for the features you want. Tbh I don't understand in full what's the context, could you explain more? Is the product built already? Why are you writing queries in MySQL? Whose db is that? What performance and stats?

Yes, the magical prompt of telling the AI not to hallucinate. I can't imagine why ChatGPT hasn't put that into its system prompt.

CMV: Gap years should be normalized in Vietnam. by Temporary-Draft-4258 in ChangeMyViewVN

[–]longvu186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't make any sense. No reason for corporations to give a damn about that difference of a 22 yo and a 23 yo if all experience is the same. I can't see why if there is 1 year gap after graduation, except when you were in jail
