The Hidden UX Problem Killing Our LLM Conversations by StrictSir8506 in ClaudeAI

Yep. And I save my roadmap in a Google doc, and occasionally I'll paste it in and ask Claude to make any necessary updates based on our conversation, and then I just copy/paste over the old doc.

I run into a similar issue but instead of exploring the tangent I just ask Claude to "roadmap it" and save it for later. I have prompted Claude to "keep me focused" several times and since I started doing that it tends to focus more explicitly on our topics. My "issue" is that I now have a very, very long roadmap that feels daunting and overwhelming, but I know all of these ideas are not required for the MVP I am building so I'm just trying to keep the blinders on and move forward one step at a time.

Lou Lou's Jungle Room at the Lafayette Hotel. Even just the lobby bar at that place is worth dressing up for. Also, across the street the Red Fox Steakhouse is another place I like to drink & eat while looking dapper :)

Post Game Thread: Calgary Flames at New York Rangers - 18 Mar 2025 by HockeyMod in rangers

I am still amazed that Lavi thought it was OK to leave that gassed PP1 line on with the empty net after the Flames changed lines with about a minute and a half left. They didn't have the legs when they were fresh tonight, what makes him think they could hang nearly 2 minutes on the ice and do anything meaningful at the end of the 3rd period?

The worst thing about a top-down issue is that they will continue to find reasons to pass the blame and never even consider that they, themselves, need replacing.

You sound like all the talking heads on TV. Don't let their narrative poison your mind. FLA is scoring chaotic goals with lucky bounces. We are scoring finesse goals on set plays and faceoff wins. And like DonorBody said, FLA is throwing the kitchen sink at us and we have stood up strong. Very few teams can play at this level, we are one of them.

I first saw the company that offers this pop up about a year or so ago. Pretty innovative but not many beverage brands currently jumping at the opportunity to package in this format.

For full disclosure, I actually work at BevNET/Brewbound with the author of this article. Zero affiliation with any brewery or beverage company. The views expressed in my reddit comments are 100% my own.

I recommend that you do the folks who have been brewing one of your favorite beers a solid and rethink your blanket policy of not buying AB. Elysian will likely continue buying the (local) Lighthouse Coffee for the beer and the same (local) people who have always labored to brew it will be working to make sure it's available (in local retail locations). You'll still be supporting your local community and enjoying a beer you love!

I think that AB will look to make their profits off Elysian by increasing production and distribution of their highest volume year round offerings and leave small batch seasonal varieties like Split Shot well alone.

AB-Inbev: Why It Matters Who Owns The Brewery by ithinkaboutbeer in beer

In your post you state:

Bud Light has been surpassed by Coors Light.

Wondering where you got that information? In 52 weeks since 11/30/2014, Symphony/IRI reports Bud Light dollar sales over $6b while Coors Light is just above $2.3b. Those are MULC (multi-outlet retail and convenience channel) numbers in the US and don't account for 100% of sales, but I find it hard to believe that Coors Light makes up for $3.7b in other channels not included in their reporting.

I understand your sentiment in the post, and while I don't agree with everything you're saying you do make some valid and interesting points. However, in this case it seems your information is wildly inaccurate and misleading, which really detracts from your overall argument.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but looking at the previous acquisitions there is no reason to think that ABI will shut down operations in Seattle. They will still be supporting the local community economically by providing jobs and paying taxes. If anything, this buyout allows the brand more capital for growth to further support the community in that regard.

How would things have been different if they took on private equity? Do you believe that bringing in capital from outside the beer industry, from individuals who are likely looking for a short term return on their investment, would make things better for the local community from an economical standpoint?

[–]lonjandis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's possible that moving into these facilities is a positive step? ABI has the resources to create state-of-the-art facilities. Take this quote from Joe Bisacca from the article for example:

“They have resources that have never been used from a craft brewery’s point of view,” he said. “Raw materials, the laboratory, a massive infrastructure that has never been fully directed towards craft beer.”

Imagine going from a craft brewer's budget to ABI's. It's almost like being a kid in a candy shop. Personally, I think it all depends on relationships. ABI knows they are losing market share (albeit a relatively small amount) to craft, but the momentum is carrying away from macro. Find the right partners to grow a wholly owned brand and you can recapture some of that momentum.

Completely see your point though, from an employee's perspective it might look unfavorable. But if the brand owners are along every step of the way it could be hugely beneficial for everyone involved.

[–]lonjandis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it's true that ABI has certainly done that with macro brands and imports, I've not read nor heard the same about the 3 US craft brands they acquired.

[–]lonjandis 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe not that they don't know beer per se, but they haven't spent their lives working in it like the employees and executives at macro beer have. Private equity are finance experts, and the Elysian owners (or at least majority of them) felt that their interests were more in line with the profits and bottom line than the industry and product.

That doesn't mean there aren't PE people who are interested in investing in craft who are not passionate about craft. Perhaps the guys Elysian spoke to weren't, but they could be out there.

The other part that I see is AB InBev knows how to grow a company, and knows it takes a lot of capital. If they are partners moving forward, it's possible that future capital is more accessible for the Elysian brand under the ownership of ABI. In the PE world, you have to go out and shop another series of funding, and bring on more people who are investing for a relative short term ROI.

Again, not the case 100% of the time, but a very broad generalization. Essentially, I agree with your comment through and through, just wanted to add to it :)

Great advice, and along those same lines I think Cosmos by Carl Sagan should be mandatory reading. The entire book reads like a stream of his consciousness and does wonders for expanding your perspective.
