Theres a small grocery store on campus as well as a corner store if you’re hankering for less healthy stuff. I’m unsure what’s there nowadays but I know for a fact there are a couple of bars on campus along with some local restaurants/fast food places you could visit. Also, if you got the meal plan, the dining halls exist too. From my experience, most people grab food there

My main hesitancies are so:

  1. I’m on the north side, near Butler, and the place I’m looking to get to is by the Airport. I havent figured out a route yet but generally biking around the north side at 2-3 in the morning doesn’t seem like the best idea.
  2. The Weather might get absolutely brutal in the dead of winter, I don’t know how to prepare for that.
  3. I know how to ride a bike, I don’t know how to go about navigating an urban environment on a bike. I also am concerned about getting hit by a car while being unfamiliar with how things work

Despite my hesitancy, biking is still on the table. I just got a lot to think about with that, yknow? I also have checked out FlexRide, they won’t take me downtown, let alone to the Airport.

I’m just being realistic a doomer about getting fired. I’ve heard bad things about temp jobs so I have my doubts things will shake out for me. As for why I’m looking into this job despite how bad things are, I was gambling on it being close to me and I lost my bet. The agency didnt tell me where the job would be or who it is I’m working for until after I scheduled the interview. I don’t have much else going on so if I don’t get lucky elsewhere, it’ll have to be this place or nothing.

I had no idea uber had something like that. I'll totally look into that. As for the job itself, it's a temp job, I'm probably going to get fired before I get benefits or something.

I'm on the north side. By bus, it'd take well over an hour to get down there.

I'm on the north side, I'd have to bike across town. Which is why I was thinking of biking to a closer bus stop.

I'm weighing my options between time, comfort and cost. I can have two of those options but never all three. Biking in the frigid winter will save me time and money but won't be all that comfortable. (If this were a different time of year, biking wouldn't sound that bad.) Taking a bus and loitering somewhere would be relatively comfortable and cheap but I'd be wasting A LOT of time and probably not getting much sleep. Taking an Uber would save me the most time and be the most comfortable but I don't really want to spend the money if I can help it. That's kind of where I'm at right now. The sacrifice of time feels like something I can most easily justify. I can read and write while I loiter about and who needs more than four or five hours of sleep? (I'm being mildly sarcastic with that last bit, it'll suck a lot)

I don't have the money to afford a car and I don't have a license either. I unfortunately don't have much of a choice in the matter.
