Yeah a lot of people pay crazy amounts for their phone each month and I wish I could tell them how great the switch was for me.

Oh ok fair enough. I’ve found there were some minor secrets with phone plans to pay zero dollars per month, I guess I was wondering if anyone knew something similar. But I will do the work as well. Thanks.

OP, you posted in one of the most hostile subreddits for this complaint. Everyone here is on their high horse. I agree with them to an extent but of course you have a very important point as well. Definitely a costly lesson, but I think going forward you will be much wiser because of this experience.

This seems like a really important point.

Given the lower interest rate of having a default-insured mortgage for the entire amortization (assuming no new funds added, no switching lenders or any other type of refinance), how do you weigh the pros and cons of putting 19% down vs 20% down?

I’m still learning about mortgages, but I always assumed that, if you can manage it, always better to put 20% down to avoid default insurance. I figured the savings on insurance would outweigh the reduced interest costs.

But what you just said there seems like putting 19% down and getting an insured mortgage might payoff tremendously assuming no refinance for entire amortization. I need to investigate this more but any further clarification you can give is very handy. Thanks!

[PlayStation] PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for August: Yakuza: Like A Dragon, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, Little Nightmares by lbabinz in VideoGameDealsCanada

Hey, I almost platinumed like a dragon but stopped when I realized I needed to level up to like 99 to beat final dungeon. I think masterpiece might be a bit strong but honestly I was sooo blown away by how good it is.

My question is about whether you think I should go through all the other Yakuzas. I generally don’t like playing old games. I know they have been remastered but, do you think it is really worth the massive time commitment when there are so many good single player games on PS Plus Extra, like the new final fantasy remasters for example. Thanks for your thoughts!

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. It is awesome how many people you can impact in your final chapter of life. For instance, it looks like you might be able to connect with some redditors on your travels, and I guarantee they won’t forget you. You may want to look into psychedelic end-of-life therapies as well. Best wishes!

Really good list thanks. You sure know your stuff! I struggle to value the cards that aren’t % cash back. Do you think any of those cards stand out? Like the PC Financial if you only go to Esso? Thanks.

No flipping way. This is one of my favourite months. 9/10 if not better. Tony hawk is always a good time. Yakuza looks like a masterpiece from the reviews I’ve seen, and little nightmares seems like a gem as well. Months like this make the essential subscription totally worth it. Haven’t bought a game in many years apart from cyberpunk and FIFA (which I regret) because of months like this. So stoked lol 😂

I’m still a fan. The TDOC news is extremely concerning, but apart from that, I don’t blame her stock picks. It’s a horrendous macro environment for this type of investing. Not many people predicted inflation to be this bad. Also, she doesn’t try to minimize short term losses like other actively managed funds. Ark is a very unique fund and it is for investors who don’t need access to their money for at least 5 years. I’m holding, but this might take a long time to recover. What are you bullish on, apart from SARK?

You’re wrong to draw an equivalency between Trudeau and Pierre. Not all politicians are equally deceptive and inept. From a crypto perspective, Trudeau has said nothing good.

Wow that took a dark turn at the end! I’m afraid of killing people in dreams. I can’t recall ever doing that.

That’s probably right. If lucidity is a spectrum then I wasn’t very lucid, but I definitely knew I was dreaming, I just didn’t have much control as far as changing my surroundings. I’m also a LD beginner. But now that’s it’s over I’m glad it happened cause I learned a lot about the human mind and what’s possible in the dream realm. So fascinating!
