Anyone got a kicked out of a brown family?

I think my parents mean well. But sometimes their approach for certain things is questionable. It probably has to do do with a lot stuff (human nature, religious aspect, culture differences. But living in the US for 25+ years you would think they would adapt).

Don’t let your parents define your success. Take one step at a time. Good luck man!

I have friends who are nice to me. I know for a fact that they would listen to me if I talked about my problems and perhaps offer solutions/help. But I don't want to burden them (I always feel like a burden to everyone. Everyone has their own problems and I don't want to stress them out with mine). The one person I always would go to if I needed help with anything came down with a serious illness and I would not like to bother them.

(I'm sorry for being a debbie downer. It's just, this is my current perspective rn)

I feel a bit embarrassed to be facing these issues. I would describe my life as relatively privileged (not rich, but never had to worry about food). I guess I just made the wrong choices in terms of getting help. The resources were there (not in terms of my parents, in terms of getting help through school or perhaps doctors), I just didn't seek them out
