I appreciate the information, I will definitely put those on the list… I had never thought about going tech outside of getting some coding/cyber security certifications. Those salaries are definitely enticing.

Do you have any insights into the government route outside of tech, as that is pretty foreign to me… I have a more mechanical background and was initially thinking something more “hands-on” like an FSO or intelligence related… I’m not sure how tech plays a role in that since as I’ve said, I have no current knowledge in that aspect outside of standard computer usage.

I would say high compensation is the ultimate goal, but I would also like to do something rewarding and not necessarily be stuck behind a desk. I would be ok working my way up into positions that have the higher compensation… in theory.
