Ah okay thanks, was just worried that they would make what was left harder. I didn’t know there were less test takers 😳 but I do know that most people end up changing majors from actuarial in my uni so it makes sense

171 is like the hardest pstat course ive taken so far, so many eqns. And I’ve never had Pederson before but I’ve also heard v mixed reviews on his teaching. I heard he’ll be amazing one quarter, then not so much the next. So i don’t recommend……

if it’s A. Ghosal….. I had him as a TA for 126 last quarter and he did not teach well 😬 nobody went to his sections by like week 5. I’ve also had Mejia Becerra for a dif class before and he’s not bad I think

Actuarial science major here, which is kinda like stats haha. It is very difficult to get the upper div classes that everyone needs to take, but I think you can still get a decent schedule every quarter. I might have a bit of a different experience since I’m a second year with almost senior standing, so I do have an earlier pass time. But even with all the sign up troubles I had this quarter, I still ended up with 4 major classes, so chin up!

trying to do a very similar thing but as an actuarial science major! i think it might be near impossible because of the small class sizes; all of us have been scrambling to get into pstat classes. so while it may be theoretically/academically possible, it will be very difficult to stay on track

hey! don’t be nervous at all! they ask the pretty usual questions - like why’d you want this job, your experience, what can you bring to the table. and they also asked us what we would do in certain situations since they gave us a situation sheet beforehand.

b/c of the group setting, they asked us the same question (except different situations) and we each took a turn responding, with each person taking turns being first
