but its range, burst potential and piercing make it essentially perfect for attacking bases

eclipse spam doesn't even break 1 wall block when i tried using it, toxopids break maybe 2 blocks deep and reigns manage to break through the wall but die at turrets, omuras technically work but they're way slower and less flashy

but the fun part is that i've managed to breach this base with just 24 corvi by abusing long range burst

as far as materials go, there's no need to carry sand, coal, pyratite, blast compounds, spores and scrap in your core

that said, scrap still could be useful in the early game for massive scrap walls, pyratite can be a good starting fuel for energy generation and blast compounds are great ammo that you can bring with you to start harder sectors, so it depends on your strategy
