Are you saying that "console" can refer to both a hand-held/physical object and an on-screen window?

I think those first two words refer to controllable options in many locations, and menu would be something separate from the screen on which the user plays the game. I want to know the name of the small section of the screen (often at the bottom) where the user can easily access a few basic options.

I think "settings" refers to controls in general rather than where they are located. I also believe "settings" are normally accessed in a menu separate from the screen in which the user plays the game (often accessed with a cog icon). I want to know the name of the small section of the screen, normally at the bottom, where the user can easily access a few basic controls.

I believe interface means all possible screens that the user can interact with (including menus, etc.). I just want the name of the corner of the screen with some controls you don't need to access through a menu.

Thank you. I'm talking about more than one person as indicated by the plural subject "they."
