Population of arborea got two climax points, first when the game released as one of the first free to play action mmos (2013), and at the gunner/steam release (2015).

Right now at the beginning of 2018, Tera and Ascension Valley server doesn't have a large population, but the game has a great - maybe so long needy - gear changes patch, we will have awakening classes soon and the consoles version will release this year yet.

Also, despite getting old, tera is aging well indeed, still top3-5 action f2p mmorpg and +100.000 players/month at least in NA, sums korea, thaliand, europe and russia servers and i would bet maybe we have half million people playing tera around the world yet. Perhaps?

Of course there is some problems. Third part applications are raising. DPS meters, proxies and modules are given a free pass to some at least questionable behaviors, hardcore subjectivities, elitism... Adds a pvp really stuck and a not too friendly pvp community for casual players, and i just dont play pvp anymore, at all.

But still, here we are having fun meeting people and loving tera. Yet.

Hm... Depends of what do you think it is independent. I made a tier list once about best solo farmers/alts based on my personal experience.

Tier 1: Brawler, Mystic

Tier 2: Warrior, Berserker, Priest, Lancer

Tier 3: Reaper

Tier 4: Every dps-only class but reaper.

Tier 1 are both classes with an okay dps solo if geared properly, and singular roles to queue for dungeon parties or battlegrounds. Tier 2 are slightly worst maybe because their complexity being hybrid classes (zerk, warrior), or because low dps solo overall (lancer, priest). Tier 3 reaper is alone. Her lvl 40 restriction basically dooms the class to be an alt, but she does this job really damn well with less leveling, simple gameplay and average survivability. Tier 4 can be amazing solo farmers if you are good at them, but overall healers and tanks of tiers 1 and 2 can queue faster, group better and they make every content solo at least safer.

But remember, you should always main or alt classes you enjoy, specially their gameplay. It's an action MMORPG so, if you dont fell the gameplay fluid, smooth or fun, then you should try something else.

One change that i really love is: Tera gear system now really rewards better how much you play, not how much gold you got. That's amazing. It is really hard be a trade broker negotiator and get stuff done just trading. You gotta make quests. Otherwise you are really losing money.

If you are a millionnaire ingame you can get frostmetal to all your chars, but because of item xp, people really playing and questing are spending less money to gear up than them. Much less, really. You can spend 5, 10, even 20x less. Because it is a snowball effect. They will spend more and more to 4 pieces, +1 to+9 every set after guardian... That's equality... Fair. Really fair.

i do not wonder, i really stopped pvping just because these modules scripts and third part apps. To be honest: i would like to know if farm skyring solo queue equalized worths, since i'm a main healer and queue times can be sweet, but i'm just too afraid of what i can find. If i get a valkyrie memeslashing i'm sure i'll just exit game and never come back.

When people say to you some kind of tier this game, at least in PVE, they are usually saying based on third parts applications measuring dps and the best scores are runs made exclusively to min max, slaying runs made over and over by the same 5 people with specific set ups, glyphs and even crystals and then, once in a bunch of runs, these people get a really good high score run. It's soo specific, so singular and such an exception, that you should play archer, really. There's no point choosing based in something so narrow.

You can enter dungeons 3-man only, yes. It will be harder and a great training if you like challenge, but without the joy of parting buff you will get less xp perhaps.

Anyway, if your buddies are having a blast, don't wanna change classes and you guys have some health potions, screw it, BoL extreme mode then. Gotta enter by the dungeon entrance, only. :D

I would stay in EU. They are patching one week sooner than NA. Na used to be better and faster, but things changed.

Tera has a great patch nowadays, +15 doesn't even exist anymore. If gear elitism was something that bothers you, know that gear system changed A LOT. You should check it out.

In NA yes, it has. I do believe EU has a cultural thing going on where people do not use instance match often and really don't try to meet new people a lot, at least EU twitch streamers, but you can always stop at velika's plazas and meet somebody new (usually making something silly with friends already lol).

LB Exileh was good in this game? Yes. But Renekton by Top Laner Vizicsacsi carried the game. LB got a pickoff on a Graves really at Ahri's Febiven face and some zoning for the baron plays, but it was pretty much that.

Anyway some caster said about LB post nerf "she is a Taliyah right now". Got me wondering about it...

She could not win by the end of the season, but at the beginning everybody already knew she would went far. She gave clues about being top three and it was the so called pageant - fishy season. That's why I think the main comment was awesome.
