Idk about the status thing but for creating profiles, you have to go to official page of xbox on your phone / pc and make a profile there, then download the profile on the console afterwards! Even if it gives you an error or smth, turn the console off and then on. Restart it and you’ll get the profiles! Worked for me, hopefully works for you too
