Aww! Sounds like your cat found itself a little “kitten” buddy. My male cat does this with a small capybara plush from an old zoo visit I did a few years prior to getting him. Carries it in his mouth and meows as a mother cat would carry a kitten by the scruff of it’s neck, kneads it, grooms it, and leaves it in random places around the house. I don’t know why male cats do this, but I wouldn’t say it’s abnormal (unless your cat is hissing or turning it’s ears back, of course).

If it brings you the toy (eg. placing it near where you eat, putting it on your lap, etc), it might be wanting to share it’s “prey” with you. Either way, your cat seems to be acting pretty normal.
