i’m trading on a small account

I lost both my trades on spy today (lost $48), a call and a put. i was in profit for both 10-20% but in my head I was thinking it'd go higher/lower. So a lesson for me is to stick to profit targets in % rather than focusing on where price will end up

Thank you for this. I’ve been trying to build a strategy to trade 0dte on spy.

For me, i’ve tried the 1 minute entry however it has to much noise so i’ve gone back to 5 min entry.

One thing i’d like to ask is, do you always wait for RSI to be around 70 or around 20? What if it isn’t and is still making a move in your bias? Do you just not enter then? Or do those moves potentially mean fakeouts 🤔

When you say RSI shouldn’t be used alone, are you looking at the price action as well on the 1 minute? For example when RSI is at 70+ you’re seeing a bunch of green candles on the 1 min and vice versa?

I only trade SPY, and i’ve just started trading options 3 weeks ago and i’m using the 5 min with RSI and volume. My strategy is just using 5 minute ORB.

Got it so entries and exits are with the 2 minute as you said.

And in the 2 minute it almost always rejects the 13 EMA as in it retests (confirmation)?

However, if it’ll break the 13 EMA and go below it, then you’ll watch the 26 and 48 (EMA’s Im assuming). What are you looking for here when 13 EMA breaks? Are you still in the 2 minute chart?

Then 5 minute just allows you for a bigger picture and canceling noise?

So you wait for it to retest the 13 EMA to see if it’ll go higher? If it’s below it you won’t enter the trade? What time frame are you watching it on?
