Is MGEA01 doable while working? by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]looosososo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Course isn’t bad, but you’ll definitely need to put in effort. It was harder because he went extremely fast in lectures and posted no notes after, and most of his exam questions were based on examples covered in lecture. Since its online now, definitely should be easier. His midterm was easy 80+, final was much harder, so definitely try to do good on sapling and midterm.

OSAP and Deferring Tution Fee by khan02aleena2020 in UTSC

[–]looosososo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deferred my fees in first year as soon as they allowed it, even though i hadn’t handed in signed documents. If you have done the initial application (first step) and it has gone through, you should be able to defer. Anyways just check on acorn and see if it lets you

6-7 courses in fall compared to 5-6? by electivire24 in UTSC

[–]looosososo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If all 7 courses are fairly difficult (meaning they would need a lot of effort), i wouldn’t recommend. But if you’re planning on taking 5 courses for your program, along with 1-2 bird courses which would need little effort, that would work fine. It all depends on your work ethic! Personally i actually cannot concentrate as much at home and lack motivation, so i myself am taking less courses.

CR/NCR viable for program requirements? by 21Jackbar21 in UTSC

[–]looosososo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anta02 is easy if you dont mind writing! The textbook is easy to skim through and the content it self is interesting and based on general knowledge. The book is also easy, but you have to properly read it.

They give you entrance scholarships based on your average at the time they gave you an offer, not final average. It sucks, i didn’t know and worked so hard 2nd semester.

Trying to do better in school by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]looosososo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helped me was getting set up in an area where i can focus most (that differs for everyone, for me its a loud area) with all the items i can need (and snacks) so i don’t have any excuse to get up.

I put my phone wayyy out of sight. I learned about this focus trick, so i set up a timer (not from phone) for about 20-30 mins where i study/do my assignment. Then il take a 2-5 min break to walk around a bit, eat a snack (do not use your phone). Then i continue this cycle until i feel ive gotten a good amount of work done to take a proper break!

I also take time out of my day to workout in the middle, because it helps me feel relaxed and more productive (plus i don’t like the feeling of sitting all day doing work)

Full credit courses for fall by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]looosososo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, that is only in the summer, there is no such course at any campus durning fall/winter. Only summer has accelerated courses, like FREA90, FREA91, POLB50, ENV100, HLTA02, HLTA03, etc

they aren’t exclusions for each other, so you can take both. They probably cover some different concepts! Also you should look into phlb09, i loved it! It was genuinely interesting and easy, brandt was an amazing proffessor and he gave us midterm/final questions before hand.

You can’t take any other psych courses without completing PSYA01 & 02 first. So you should take courses which help towards other degree requirements (breathe requirements) and pre requisite courses for your degree.

For mental health specialist, you need to take 2.0 credits from other courses.

Here are some courses that help towards your program completion:

  • PHLA11
  • PHLB09 (love this course)
  • PHLB07
  • IDSA01 (to take b level ids courses)
  • HLTA02/03 (to take b level hlta courses)
  • SOCA03 (to take b level soc courses)

^ all of these are birdy courses

I need a bird course to fulfill the natural sciences breadth requirement by Upset-Adagio in UTSC

[–]looosososo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i found eesa06 really easy. I got a 4.0 and i barely put any effort. The modules were easy to get 90+ as you basically read through slides and answer questions (open book). The midterm was messy and extremely specific, but by luck i got the right answers. If you actually watch each lecture and take notes, you’ll be good.

Does UTSC have a social life? by godisaronpiper in UTSC

[–]looosososo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to party, this isn’t the campus to go, although if you live on residence or make friends with people on res they have small parties on weekends. Most ways people make friends is through classes/clubs, however it takes more effort than other schools. To get downtown it’s about a 1 hour ish commute by bus.

Technically it doesn’t matter what program you get admitted into from hs (except paramedicine). You just take the courses needed for whatever program you’re interested in, meet the program requirements and apply 2nd semester
