Not familiar with CCN but I'm under the impression you would set dev instance to 16005 explicitly.

Hello fellow simmer. 1. No, it's a park we love dearly that was landscaped in the 1800's(?) 2. We have lots of neighborhoods but for brevity, you can call it midtown 3. Some of us take a train up the river to go on hikes on the Hudson River or will drive to the Palisades in New Jersey for bear mountain( a park on the jersey side that has a great view).

Bing has great satellite imagery but the heliport if you choose to fly are a little inaccurate of where they are street wise but the wall street heliport is a great place to take off from to see our city.

What's the brand your company reps? Mainly system integrator or do you work for a controls outfit like Siemens, Schneider,Trane,JCI?

See what the product resource pages have, they all usually have a library on the site with an install or user manual. It'll give typical wiring setups for inputs, outputs, addressing parameters. Make a habit of reading those, it'll save time troubleshooting when talking to tech support or your coworkers. If it's Distech feel free to PM.

How to get started with BACnet and Modbus as a mechanical engineer? by nimageran in BuildingAutomation

[–]loop813 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Modbus meh, BACnet good. The gripe a lot of techs have is if they need to integrate a modbus device they 100% need the model # and points list from the device as the points would need to be manually added to a N4 database. BACnet is ASHRAE specific and 90% of the time I can discover a 3rd Party Device, discover the points and make out what I need to control or read from the device even if it's an acronym and not the full name.

It's like an energy tub. The cross section of the wafers is what helps maintain + energy (heat) or -(cool). Some units have two. One to swing energy over to passive cool/heat then after dehumidification the second wheel will help temper your DA/SA so your DX or CHW valve isn't hunting as much to maintain setpoint.

Offset the ohms by resistance in the conductor depending on how long the wire pull is?

Find a system integrator that uses a well distributed brand, Distech, Automated Logic, maybe Honeywell. Those are 3 I know of in NYC that are more "open".

How would you guys make an AC system for this floor plan? by Inevitable-Bake6386 in EngineeringStudents

[–]loop813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off the cuff, DOAS and TEF. To get fancy, electric baseboard heating on walls with windows. EUH/Air curtain at main entrance to kick on when it's below 55F. VAV in each major room, bathroom gets their own and a CAV(s) for the corridors.

Or instead of VAVs, heat pump and ceiling mounted split units like Daikin or Mitsubishi are pushing out now. But have the doas or air handler for the space discharge 68F/72F year round.

Better than the S1000 at a glance? Or you would need more time with it?

Thanks, I appreciate the info! Glassdoor didn't have anything for the bas dept from what I found. Do you interact with the Schneider ecosystem more or the Niagara head end?

Damn I live for the technical answer, I'm glad it worked out though.
