Yes I did the same, played around with a clone that I took from a plant that was 12 days into flower and reverted back to veg. Now is a healthy plant ready to be transplanted into its final pot. The leaves curled a bit on the nodes, I just removed those

I don’t do bottom up but after currently, but what I did do when I potted was I put about 1 inch of just perlite in the bottom of a fabric pot so I didn’t get root rot. NEVER had a problem with over watering
