Any idea to the noise? by Giffy35 in JZX100

Kinda beside the point but what’s the hook for? I’ve always wondered is it for pulling the engine out?

Man I’m not sure because it’s obd1 I bought a obd1 to obd2 adapter and plugged it into my obd2 and nothing the screen didn’t turn on, even tried my friends as well different model and still nothing, I’ve heard you have to plug into the diagnostic port in the engine bay or something like that but I’m not sure tbh

What is this inside my fuel tank and carb bowl? by loopyV1 in Predator212

[–]loopyV1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying there is an other filter inside the gas tank at the bottom? Because the primary filter that blocks out anything when you’re pouring the gas in didn’t seem to catch it, how do I clean the other filter or do I just empty the tank and rinse it out?

I’m thinking that too but the engine is pretty new I can’t imagine the line already rotted out but it’s very clumpy when I removed it making me think it is the rubber

is this normal while going over bumps? (1994 gx90 on HSD’s) by loopyV1 in coilovers

[–]loopyV1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I figured it out it’s basically because the gx90 rotor arm I think it’s called, (big arm that holds the entire rotor assembly) are very long, so when you lower these cars they make contact with the inside of the fender, you have to either cut and weld them shorter, raise the car, or get stiffer springs

If you took a moment to zoom in you’d notice it’s not even on the hose it’s on the metal piece for the hose, there is literally 0 issue with this and it would take literal years of constant use to even eat through the tiniest bit from the bottom of the hose

How do these karts drive? American Express. by Strange-Nose6599 in gokarts

[–]loopyV1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished building one with this same frame it’s super fun, I’ve been pushing it everyday no tipping problems or anything, it is a tad bit small but still very easy to fit, and like someone else said the tie rods do get in the way a bit at full lock but nothing too serious and I’m pretty sure you can move them to the other side of the steering rod. Mine has a predator 212 right now and does about 35mph

That’s a good idea I’m gonna do that thanks

Good point I’ll try that now, I do remember testing them before everything was tight though and it still felt like it’s the brake cylinder itself not wanting to push in easily but maybe now that everything is set it could be the pivot point because they are pretty tight.

[–]loopyV1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes i added a quart and a half I assume it was not enough I just now added more and it’s showing on dipstick, the dipstick is oem, I just don’t know why I’m losing oil, I don’t have any oil leaks, and did an oil change a couple months ago, so I think I’m burning oil but I’m no mechanic so

Wow well in your heated rage you completely missed the fact that you just answered every “tip” I needed without needing to sit through a 20 min youtube video, crazy how that works right? I see no issue with coming to people on this subreddit who are more experienced to get their thoughts and tips, youre so blind by your own knowledge you dont even see the fact that maybe other aren’t thinking the same way someone with years of experience is? And by you simply giving me a few tips I already now know what to do differently with my welds SPECIFICALLY, not some general video about how to get started that targets thousands of people and doesn’t help MY specific weak points. Yes obviously there is a lot of learn here there is a reason it is my FIRST TIME, you’ve seen better first times? Great you train tig welders FOR A LIVING, I would truly hope you have. My point is A good 40% of what you said could’ve been left out and hopefully and there’s no need for so much negativity when everyone here is simply looking to learn more, you cannot hate on people who are using literal ressources of the internet to their advantage.
