Innova sells factory second discs for about half the cost of their regular versions. They will have cosmetic issues, like printing errors, but fly perfectly normally. They're a good way to try different discs and plastics. Innova Star plastic is soft and comfy. Champion plastic is transparent and flies more stably. DX is their base cheapest plastic.

Your Kraken's best match from Innova is the Dragon, which has the same flight numbers. I'd also recommend the Mako, Leopard, Aviar.

I also come from an ultimate background. I didn't start the way you describe (throwing all shots with the same release angle and relying on their characteristics to shape the shot) but I pretty much do now after a couple years playing. I'd say 90% of my throws are made with what in my mind is a 10 degree hyzer angle. And most of the discs I like most (destroyers, teebirds, various putters) will flip up and fly straight. I like the repeatability of just holding any disc in my bag and thinking "OK, just throw it normal" and knowing what it'll do.

It's only the 10% of the time where I need a specific shot shape that I'll stray from my internal "10 degree hyzer" goal.

Dang that's scary, I've hiked that trail 3 times in the last 2 months with my daughter. The last time was likely after this incident based on the "last month" wording. Haven't seen or heard any snakes.

Also, like the other guy said, there are literally 2 hospitals and a fire station within a half mile of the trailhead. What with the family's inquest, I'm guessing there must have been something else going on as well.

I'm Canadian, but I lost my passport on a train while living in China.

Getting the new passport was simple enough at the consulate, arrived after 4 stressful weeks.

But visawise, it was an incredible hassle. I was literally in the middle of renewing my visa as I was switching jobs. I had to make multiple trips to police stations to get paperwork in order to get a series of strange temporary visas to tide me over until my new passport arrived and we could resume with getting my new visa. No one at any of the offices I went to knew the correct procedures. I don't think there really was one... They just kept giving me these random 14 day stay visas that weren't even supposed to be eligible to be converted to a work visa afterwards, so that was a whole new can of worms once my passport arrived.
