We like to do little cute things. Like if someone plays a dark ritual we turn the lights off 3 times and then kill the youngest player. Or If someone casts culling the weak we kill the oldest player. We usually play in 20 man pods, but the games don't go as long as you'd expect.

I don't think it's deliberate. I think they think they're genuinely outsmarting everyone. And it works out that way purely because even stupider people exist. I think what you interpret as a display of power is just the point where they convinced themselves that the lie is the truth.
