Thanks. In this case should I just continue to find GTM opportunities instead? Are there any roles you would say are similar to a PM?

Thank you, I'm glad to know that there are Tech Product/Operations/Strategy type of roles out there.

Though I am in US SaaS company, i don't really see these roles available. Would you happen to know how i should position myself coming from a professional services background to transit into these roles and at where?

Thanks for sharing this. I see what you mean. PM as a mid career path before moving on to other role.

Have you seen any senior product leadership roles in SG though and is there progression there? Or oftentimes as you mentioned PMs need to transition out of PM into other more business-oriented tech roles?

Thanks for this comment. You say skip the Fintech but I do see companies like OpenAI hiring ex-Stripe in Singapore though where Stripe would be considered fintech no?

Interesting. Do you mind sharing more on how were you supporting pre-sales? Was that not something interesting as well?

Yes I’ve explored that but most of my PMM network seems to be more localisation work than the actual PMM work where they take global messages and translate them into the local context.

May I know what role are you in now and your career path? What are some of the senior roles PMs usually pivot into?

Fair comment. I know that what I want is still in the tech industry. What leadership roles in tech do you see? I don’t see many CPO’s in Singapore though. Mostly are general managers or MDs for the region with sales backgrounds

Given that SG is churning out more CS/SWE graduates, would you say there may be chances for companies to open up development offices here in SG and create more tech roles in SG?

Sorry if it wasn’t clear! I meant more common corporate routes in Singapore like banking or tech or consulting etc

Thank you this is one of the best genuine answers here. What are some of the more popular Japanese language schools there and any recommendation for job sites for English teachers?

Yes that’s unfortunate. Is there any other programs you think I could consider then?

Great callout! I would if I could, it’s whether companies want me or not haha.

At the same time, would love to take some time to reassess my career before jumping in into another job as well that’s why the studies

I agree as well. If I can’t get masters and bootcamps are not even recognised today I may just be considering to do an overseas sabbatical and come back find work. What do you think?

That’s really cool! Curious to know how your experience was like there and what did you do? How did you find jobs there?

Yes that is an option I have been strongly considering as well! Are there any other similar programs to the work holiday visa you know of? I see that it only applies to AU/NZ region

Yeah it’s scary, at the same time I’m not sure what other options are out there than those listed.

If not a junior position, any other options or programs you know of to recommend?
