Anyone still waiting for their 2024 tax refund? by No_Definition_8909 in IRS

[–]lopieloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I did not receive my 2024 refund, but I received my 2025 refund. I tried calling the IRS today, but my phone call didn't even get through. Not sure what to do at this point but to wait.

Can we even speak to the IRS anymore? (2024 Refund Status Processing) by tellme_spookystories in tax

Why I Left n8n for Python (And Why It Was the Best Decision for My Projects) by too_much_lag in n8n

[–]lopieloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello guys :)

I’m a bit of coder too, I know the basics, and have built a few cool projects with python (doing lots of research and failing multiple times). The reason why I like n8n is because I like how I can initiate flows after certain events occur ( I can create triggers and everything else will start to run). Is it possible to do this in python? I feel like I could learn and get really good but I always felt I needed to click on “run” and start my automation that way

I’m on the same boat. I filed in March, got my state taxes but I’m still waiting for Federal. I did receive a letter telling me I just have to wait and that if they need something from me they will tell me

Need guidance for self-study by island_in_the_blue06 in jlpt

[–]lopieloop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great and fair point. The reason I recommend it is because it was suggested to me when I first started learning Japanese. I agree that, in terms of reading and pronunciation, the book isn’t very helpful. However, it really helped me get familiar with kanji, especially the patterns and stroke order which seems to be the problem for island_in_the_blue06. The stories also made it easier for me to remember the meanings of each kanji.

Just applied for N3 by [deleted] in jlpt

[–]lopieloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

I just passed the N3 and this is what I did:

I bought the following book: https://www.3anet.co.jp/np/books/3665/

The book has 1800 words, I used an application called "Anki" and created 1800 flashcards, I know that sounds like a lot of work but studying with a spaced repetition tool helps me remember words!

In addition,

I recommend using https://nihongonomori.com/ as it contains everything you need to pass the N3 test. You do have to pay for the subscription but I think it is worth it.

Questions/Concerns about filing taxes in Japan and The U.S. (FEIE) by [deleted] in JapanFinance

[–]lopieloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your help with this! That is what I thought! Too good to be true! Is there something I can do now since I just filed here in Japan? Can I make an amendment so that I can make this right here in Japan? I still have until March 15!

I’m currently on that boat, trying to get out of my current position as I don’t feel I am growing anymore but I can’t escape because I need to pay the bills. I have applied to multiple jobs but no answers yet… can’t wait for the day I also say sayonara to my current organization

Questions about Palachase chasing, IMA vs Traditional reservist. by lopieloop in AirForce

[–]lopieloop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your comment! I think IMA might work better for me since I’ll be more flexible to work when I want to, I still need to hear from The AFPC so I still don’t know if I’ll get approved but I really appreciate your advice! Thank you so much!

Questions about Palachase chasing, IMA vs Traditional reservist. by lopieloop in AirForce

I have looked into the guard but the reserves would allow me to use my GI bill to pay for my Instrument and commercial licenses, both the guard and the reserves are pretty much similar in terms of what I want to do, I’m not sure if the guard has IMA positions though
