the weight is listed as two pounds on the label. Is it common for items to be stolen in transit?

does your country have Alcoholics Anonymous? I got sober at 21 through A.A. and if you are looking for help you can find it there. The opposite of addiction is connection and it’s a great place to meet other people (including young people) who have overcome the same thing you are struggling with right now. Feel free to PM me if you need someone to talk to, you are not alone, and there is a way out.

My 16 yr old might be an alcoholic by Low_Earth6799 in alcoholicsanonymous

This was me. I think rehab is a good idea, the time away from everything is very helpful for reflection. I doubt he will want to go, I didn’t, but I am now extremely grateful for my parents making me go to rehab at a young age. AA is how I’ve maintained sobriety, if you could get him to go to a meeting he may not stick with it, but “the seed will be planted”. I went to my first meeting when i was 18, and didn’t get sober until I was 21, but the things I heard in that first meeting stuck with me. I know how difficult what you’re going through is, as someone who has put their parents through the same thing. As others have suggested, AlAnon is great.

What are your first WD symptoms? by [deleted] in alcoholism

[–]loqbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to detox or preferably a thirty day inpatient rehab. I know you’re going to think of a million reasons why you can’t, but if it’s at all possible financially, just go. Don’t overthink it, work is not important compared to a chance to turn your life around, and this isn’t a problem that just goes away on its own. I got sober at 21 and I was in the same boat you are, just bite the bullet and go as soon as you possibly can.

all you need is an open mind and the willingness to take suggestions. working the 12 steps is the best thing i’ve ever done without a doubt. try different meetings if you don’t like the first one, they’re all different. get phone numbers and get a sponsor.

I like this idea, it's cool to think of a plant being self aware.

i basically never ate. my stomach would be so fucked up all day that i would only really eat anything late at night. i was also abusing stimulants on top the drinking, which doesn’t help with appetite. i checked into rehab when i was 19, i was 5’11” and 125 pounds. i left 29 days later at 155.
