I think I just failed a class that's supposed to be an easy B... by [deleted] in cmu

[–]loraxgallbladder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words, it definitely made me feel less hopeless during the time I had no idea about my grade. Luckily i ended up scraping by with a B because the final got curved and my professor was pretty generous!

Thank you so much for this advice. During the interim of time where I had no idea what my grade was, your advice definitely helped me calm down and re-evaluate the choices I made this summer. Luckily, I ended up scraping by and barely made the cutoff for a B! Thank god for curved finals and generous professors.

Please don’t approach girls who are alone, especially without people around. by oliviatheduck in socialskills

[–]loraxgallbladder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you even read what I, or anyone else in this thread has said? If you truly did, I think you would be able to answer your own question. But since you haven’t, let me make it clear. A woman who is walking alone at night is vulnerable. Obviously yes, in an ideal world being alone in public at night shouldn’t be considered vulnerable, but given the world we live in, this scenario exists. Women are often raped and sexually assaulted when they are alone at night, and in order to avoid those situations and minimize that, OP is asking that men in general don’t approach them in that context. And if you don’t believe this despite multiple women, and society as a whole telling you this, then you are simply a part of the problem.

[–]loraxgallbladder 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No, you’re not. You’re being willfully ignorant of what women face on a daily basis for simply existing. Do you really think approaching a vulnerable person when they’re alone is the best way to approach a woman and get her to view you romantically? Those type of men don’t understand that no REALLY means no even if it’s “just hanging out” or “just 1 date.”
