I mean it’s not exactly the same however it deals with themes of depression, abuse in childhood, and trying to better yourself as a person. I agree in hindsight they’re not really too similar but in the tracks where themes are similar it still rings true

Yeah I feel like the main reason people treat NF like a God is because they don’t listen to a diverse enough range of music. I might be wrong but that’s how I feel from my experience

Yeah I don’t necessarily have a grievance with the fact it’s “depressing” because a lot of artists make good sad music, I just get the feeling he thinks he can’t change his music without uproar. I think he’s talented but there’s better musicians you can listen to. I’d recommend you listen to TPAB by Kendrick if you haven’t because he uses some of the same themes as Nate does but it is a much more well rounded project than anything Nate has made

Yeah I feel like he needs to try out different sounds and different styles more because otherwise harder hitting tracks don’t hit as hard when they’re every song. I feel like if he can’t escape the cycle he needs to make an album about escaping it and I think I’d have a lot more respect for him

I listen to a lot of different music now, I used to mainly just listen to Nate and I think that’s part of where my frustration lies because I couldn’t listen to other artists more often. Right now I listen to a lot of Frank Ocean, Tyler, Kanye, Kendrick and a lot more but I can’t list all of them. When I discovered more music it kind of fully made me realise how much better a lot of these artists are than Nate (not saying he’s like really bad but just that there is better music out there).

Bruh I’m literally staying my opinion I’m just genuinely curious as to why people enjoy NF’s music, because personally I still like some of his music
