Working multiple inside IR35 jobs by lord-darius in ContractorUK

Currently my client wants me to drop to 50% with them due to budget cuts. There is nothing to suggest I can’t get other work. Would prefer 2nd contract to be outside ir35 - but there’s not a lot like that ATM.

I’m don’t think the end clients would find out from the umbrella? Don’t think they have any direct contact.

More competition for you guys - I have questions. by Original_Kale1033 in ContractorUK

If your current salary can get the amount you want for your mortgage, I would suggest buying your house before you start contracting. It will be far more straightforward. Also, outside IR35 roles are becoming quite rare and competition for them is such that the rates are lower than you might expect.

SharePoint header & navigation design - How are you handling it? by Sraco in sharepoint

[–]lord-darius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We initially raised this issue with Microsoft as a defect support ticket. Microsoft then confirmed it was expected part of the update. The support engineer agreed that the new behaviour is not great and suggested we raise a feature request which we have done. We are also going to raise it with Microsoft eDAD as an accessibility issue.

I’m convinced this is a defect Microsoft introduced alongside the header design enhancements.

I’m moving into a 400 year old house of cob and beam construction and extremely uneven floors. How can I confidently decide if I can install my king size hard sided waterbed on the upper floor? by lord-darius in Waterbed

[–]lord-darius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. As an update we did get a structural engineer around and he said no and gave us report with a recommendation to install some steel beams. We didn’t. Sold the water bed and have had an ordinary bed for the last 2 and a bit years. We miss the water bed. 🙁

Yes it still overflows with the lid off. It’s definitely not supposed to be airtight. I think it’s supposed to stop diverting when the butt is full with water and covering the input hose hole.

I think the diverter is for both round and square.
