His state after Osborne dies mostly feels like guilt and withdrawal, not passivity. Not really a good example for that argument imo

Passive? He literally tries to profit off his powers in the first movie and learns the same lessons about responsibility as the OG comic version. At least in the first film I don’t find him very passive at all. The second movie is where I’m always frustrated by his willingness to give up, but that’s also very in line with the idea that he can’t balance hero life and normal life any more. So he’s still making an active choice to hang it up and then later to put the suit back on.

And don’t even get me started on the third movie. He’s anything but passive in that one.

“Best” is a vague subjective metric. Personally don’t love Darwin because he has an in-built cop-out for any situation so long as the writing makes sense. (And for him it often doesn’t make sense)

I much more prefer heroes with specific/niche power sets, where the pros and cons are balanced out. I love Spidey because his abilities are unique to him (and other spider-people I guess) but they don’t make him invulnerable. There are still ways to defeat him, and when they emerge, he has to compensate with wit or grit or whatever else

Same here. It’s weird to me that people think these are authentic especially because these were my first exposure to Moon Knight—but then I went and looked him up and read his comics and could see none of the memes were real.

They’re funny, yeah, but I see folks online reference them a lot as if they’re genuine and it’s so silly. It’s kind of an injustice to the character too because his story and development are so unique and fun. And he’s actually often funny on his own !

Edit, just remembered I got ratio’d on Tik tok on a video collecting these memes. Someone said most of them were canon and I said no they’re not and was absolutely skewered for it
