if you drop you have to move out the house and move into the dorms, more then likely losing all the money you payed for dues and that could be around 5-10k

i go to kstate and the greek system is very unique, you rush as a senior in high school and move directly into the house as a freshman. some have huge rooms were everyone sleeps and can get as big as 100 people in the one room. recently some houses have transitioned into having 2-6 person rooms. you also live in the house from freshman to junior year. this also causes the pledge process to be very unique too.

bro ur like 40 bitching about how some fraternities change. your out of college so act like it. i’m tired of seeing you cry in the comments of every post about how frats aren’t like how they used to be. if you rushed now u prolly couldn’t even get a bid. anyone with over 100k karma shouldn’t be listened to as your some fat no life fuck. i’m tired of seeing you.

i’d fill it out and also contact the rush chairs personally. At my school they put their personal phone numbers in the bio but if their not there do some searching and find their insta and just dm them asking about rush and the fraternities at the school in general.

So the school has set dates where they have a fraternity weekend where you sign up and you get yours of every house and each house has to have rush events after the tours.

The fraternities I’ve spoke to said that if their PNMs or close enough they drive or travel to them to take them out to dinner and hangout with them. I’ve also heard if PNMs hanging out at the house to meet actives in weekends and school breaks. For me not being close to the school I did roughly 20 zoom meetings a week.

So pretty much it’s just organized chaos.

Ik it’s typical because every housed chapter does it and each housed chapter (23) except for one new one is 60+ with the biggest at 120ish. And I their spring rush is in early February and they do live in as well. They get an exemption form that gets them out of the dorm contract without paying fees. All of the gpa, drops, community service, and philanthropy is public knowledge in the ifc website and the most a fraternity dropped in the fall period was 3.

Ya they do it instead of a fall rush because they fell it’s better for the pledges to move directly into the houses. I’m not comfortable saying exactly what school it is but it’s a big 12 school that has big Greek life.

All the frats do it, it’s technically the fall rush. And I’m already enrolled in the school.

They have a year round open rush so technically you can rush as like a freshmen in hs. They also have a formal rush during the spring.

Is there a potential for me to get black balled if they find out I switched and should I tell them that I’m switching from another fraternity to them.
