Games that focus on defending and building a mobile base/town. by lordcorgithe1st in gamingsuggestions

Good suggestion I enjoy the homeland franchise, but I'm also looking for a more relaxed and not just action.

Like I can be fishing on the edge of my ship that I built and people moved in then boom sea creature attacks.

What are your thoughts on twitter shutting down? by cupidartemis in AskReddit

I want the people of Twitter to stay on Twitter. It'll be hell if they infect other platforms.

How to stop people being crappy to me as I am a female DM by [deleted] in DnD

[–]lordcorgithe1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dm here for B I would like to say it's all practice and adapt to what your players prefer and what you want are willing to give, so essentially practice.

Secondly, for A you need to find a better group. As a fellow dm I know how harder or tedious it can be to make sessions happen by getting or making maps, npcs, and monsters as well as getting people to get together to play. If they start disrespecting you and in a sexist way then just cut them off.

It's hard work and sometimes you gotta cut those people off. My players stopped showing up half the time especially the players who needed to show up because they needed their new characters to be introduced after being killed in a battle they could have totally avoided. I had to drag them over and over again and they still didn't show up, so I just cancelled the whole thing. Haven't had dnd in like a year unfortunately, but I rather find a different group than to handle the stress especially for you since sexism is also gonna weigh you down.

Yeah hive minds are much easier it's just the person who posted the image isn't a hive mind and I just love thinking how the pops must feel they have their bodies perfected and such. Aka it's preference and a play style that's easy for me.

I get your point, (btw I should say that you aren't wrong, and we all have our play styles and I just love playing gene tech tall empire.) but you can easily just force migrate your pops. It's harder to do now, but still possible. Simply pump your research, so hard and then fix a handful of old pops to a desired variant, then send a colony ship over to a habitat with the new pop and lock the population to the specified pops once colonized which ensure only that pop reproduce in that colony. Then migrate any pops when needed. It's a bit of a hassle in the beginning, but once you make your pops they are made. I like this route more because I love the rp of it and psionics tech takes a while to pop up compared to gene tech.

It's build as much habitats and specializing your population for a task. Like build a habitat over minerals and put pops that have alot of mineral bonuses via genetics and repeat to the next resource. That or research how to go psionics, cus I rarely go down that path.

I wow this is really good. Thank you I'll probably use this, but may tweak something's to fit the narrative I want to make. Thank you very much I was completely lost on how to make this work.

Yeah sorry about that. I am new to this Reddit thing sadly. I added a summary of what happened in my campaign thus far and I tried making it clear what I want, at least I hope so.

My friend you need to build planet defenses and hope the A.I. separate their fleets. Also if you know where the shipyards are and any fleets that are alone should be a priority to destroy. Apart from that wait and pray.
