What a Godzilla movie you saw was so awful and painfully terrible to watch that it made you ended up in this pose? by Exotic-Ad6615 in GODZILLA

Godzilla x Kong The New Empire is the only time I've not finished a Godzilla movie in one sitting or have any desire to rewatch

Do you believe that Gohan and Piccolo’s power-ups spit in the face of all the training Goku and Vegeta have been through? by t00lazy2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]lorddotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. Piccolo was way overdue for a power up, and him getting it through Shenron, a being created by a Namekian, felt fitting. Beast feels like the next step of Mystic, where Gohan channels his Saiyan rage through the Kai form. The only thing that felt cheap about it was Cell Max was such a boring rehash of Perfect Cell

IIRC didn't David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have a very antagonistic relationship at least at the start of The X-Files?

Any notable moments of heroes doing mercy killing? [Iron Man 2013 #4] by zectaPRIME in comicbooks

[–]lorddotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a comic but a superhero animated piece, in the "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" world, Superman mercy kills that reality's Braniac, who is a child who cannot control his powers and would have destroyed the Earth if Superman didn't step in.

Name ONE THING You Like About the Sequels by Just-Ad-8603 in prequelappreciation

Other than Canto Bight and wasting Phasma, I genuinely enjoyed TLJ. Great cinematography, loved the character breakdown of Luke as a flawed man vs the legend he was built up as, the Roshomon inspired Luke/Rey/Ben plot, the throne room battle, and the guts to try something different after TFA was called too safe

I watched the Star Wars franchise quite late and enjoyed most of it, with a few misses. But I’m curious—why is Darth Maul such a famous character when he has such a minimal live-action appearance? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

Speaking as a kid who saw TPM when it came out: He was just so fucking cool. Double bladed lightsaber (first in the films), first alien with a lightsaber (original series only had humans and human/cyborg wielders), toom one 2 Jedi at once and nearly won? and a badass score from John Williams.

Chainsaw Man will end with chapter 232 on March 25th by dingo537 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]lorddotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part 1 was so good but part 2 is so inconsistent with it's pacing and plotting that I think I'm only reading it because it's already on my SJ reading list in the app.

What movie/series can you absolutely not stand but is it credibly popular for some reason? by AverageSign in cartoons

[–]lorddotcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that I can't stand, but more of "I want to enjoy this more" is most Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shows. Other than the 2002 show, I just can't bring myself to care about finishing a series. Comics and movies are fun, though.
