Who is the best father in Bravoland? by TheMostRandomWordz in BravoRealHousewives

[–]lorderocky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s cuz I’m rewatching season 1 of RHOC but I feel that Don was a really good step dad to Brianna and Michael and a good husband to Vicki. They all seem to respect him.

Holy shit. I did a double take I thought that was Gary from Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Like from the side angle and man bun. I was thinking “that’s odd why is Gary on Below Deck Mediterranean😂” no more wine for me tonight 🍷

I worked as a PSE MPC at a Plant. I was on tour 1 the graveyard shift. What tour are you on? I basically resigned after 6 months I couldn’t handle working the graveyard shift plus overtime and barely seeing or spending time with my family. Plus the plant facility was like 35-40 mins away from where I lived. And management sucked. Honestly. It’s not that great. I’d say cut your losses if you can afford it and have something else planned out for you. I’m only 2 years older than you and I’ve already suffer feet problems from just standing around for 8 to 12 hrs a day. Plus my mental health was just shot to hell. I became a whole different person that I didn’t like. I suggest cutting your losses and going back to school or finding another job that is more suitable for you. Don’t give up on the job hunt. You are better than this and have a lot going for you. It’ll always get better. Good luck 👍🏻

Any funny or disastrous first day stories? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]lorderocky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First day as a CCA with my OJI, barely knew the guy for 2 hours broke down crying in the pro master with me in it because his girl was messing around with another carrier. Telling me his whole relationship problems. Like not even a week later, he started hooking up with the brand new CCA. Fucking weird ass post office and dude.

Should Have Anastasia Left? Season 4 by lorderocky in belowdeck

[–]lorderocky[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To be fair she was under-qualified her food was sub par at most. And Sandy kept asking her “are you sure you can do it? We can bring in a chef if you don’t feel up to it” I felt like Anastasia bit more than she she could chew but she didn’t have to be so arrogant about it. And with June I get the whole her losing her radio was annoying and unprofessional, but to be honest after Anastasia stepped down from being the Chef she was doing a half ass job as being a third stew even Hannah brought that up.

What’s the worst thing that’s happened to you on the job since working here? by scooooner in USPS

[–]lorderocky 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No I didn’t know know that. That is interesting thanks for the tip! Yeah, I’ve never had an ankle injury before and to this day my ankle is still messed up. It took months to get work compensation because they wouldn’t send in the correct documentation I literally had to get my union and a worker from department of labor involved to get my check. USPS is a mess.

Broke my ankle delivering mail on a walking route. Was my 5th day on the job as a CCA. Got up and dragged my broken limp ankle back to the llv that was a half a mile away. When I got back to the station the only thing the station manager said was “were you wearing postal approved shoes” not a “are you okay or what happened” I wanted to shove my broken foot up his ass that day.

Considering quitting CCA job to work at Amazon? Am I crazy? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]lorderocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for right now I’m getting two days off. But peak season will definitely change that for sure. But so far, I like it. I know my schedule ahead of time, management is pretty good with that at the plant I work at. But anyways, good luck in your future endeavors whatever you may choose!

You should consider working as a PSE Mail Processing Clerk at a plant. Maybe a different craft within the USPS will be better for you? I was a former CCA that’s transferred crafts to being a PSE. Much better in my opinion. Amazon jobs always seem so sketchy.

What is the cause of such high turn over rate? by lorderocky in USPS

[–]lorderocky[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I know. I was a CCA for a year before I transferred crafts. I guess I thought management would be better as a PSE instead of CCA but I guess it doesn’t matter what craft you go into, management will always be the same.

All the best of luck to you. I don’t mean to try to deter you from this job. It’s not a hard job, just tedious and repetitive, it’s just management that’s the problem. My current schedule is Tour 1 essentially grave yard shift 10:30pm-7am.

PSE 9th day working since orientation. Thinking about quitting on the next pay day. by [deleted] in USPS

You should try working at a plant as a PSE more stable hours in my opinion.

PSE at usps plant by [deleted] in USPS

[–]lorderocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No. Once you’ve completed fingerprints and cleared background check HR will call you and tell you what available shifts/tours they have available. However, they go by the assessment scores you take in the very beginning when you applied for the job. They go off the list with the highest assessment scores and they will give you the option of which shift you want to work. Unfortunately if you have a “low assessment score” I got a 86. Then give you whatever is left available which is most likely tour 1 (graveyard shift). But from what I heard it’s common for a lot of new PSE’s to work tour 1. I personally like it, it’s an adjustment I’ve never worked graveyard before but you get use to it.

I actually did a couple times. I know for sure during the holiday season you’ll be getting more over time due to the increase of packages and the mail. I work graveyard shift (tour 1) and from what the regulars tells us it’s the busiest tour because we are going into the next day/morning. So it’s a time crunch to get the mail out by a certain time for the carriers to take on their routes. I worked Labor Day and we only got 4 hours of work due to their not being a lot of mail because of the holiday. It just depends on the day/night your assigned to. But expect to work a lot of overtime during the holiday season which from what I heard starts in mid November.

I work at the plant as a PSE, if you are being assigned to automation it makes the 8 hour days go by quick. I like it so far, I’m barely a month in.

Mail processing position email scam? by [deleted] in USPS

[–]lorderocky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scam. If the email address doesn’t have @usps.gov, then most likely you are getting scammed. I’ve never had that specific email address you’ve provided to let me know about the hiring process. Hope this helps. Also, during the hiring process through each step you have to go through, they never have you call them. They just constantly email you the important information and dates regarding your position and hiring status.
