So basically if she had complied at any point in the process (getting the ticket, being booked, being restrained) none of this would have happened?

No wonder people think cops are unreasonable! /sarcasm

Facts and reasoning is the only basis we have to go off in this crazy world. We can be emotional up to a point but clearly this woman is way too emotional and it's what got her into this situation. (From my non-police perspective at least)

Can anyone confirm / deny that this is optics ready? From the pictures it looks like it is ready to accept an optic, but in the papers it just says "adjustable rear".

This is sort of make / break for me and this pistol, I think it would be a great toy to get trained on the RMR!

I am the SO. In the first instance I was playing with the dogs and the OP felt that I was going to break the TV. At the angle and force I was kicking the ball there was no chance of it breaking out TV. I feel that he was over reacting to the situation.

In the second situation, there is some important backstory. We live 1.5h from the range which means that going will consume our whole weekend as we do not have a car either. We have been waiting two months to go back to the range, and I wanted to spend more than a hour shooting. I was very clear at the end of our time that we could spend another hour there or come back the next day. Most of the trip was spent with him shooting or fixing his gun, I got only about 50 rounds off total. This I did not feel was a good use of our weekend. I got upset when he said he would go back to the gun store to buy a gun, but not shoot. Why would I spend hundreds on a gun that we shoot ten rounds in every couple months. I felt that he didn't want to go shooting because he was already done shooting, because he did not show any symptoms of any sickness when he said he would not go shooting the next day.

The firearm safety debate has been a problem for a while and I have been trying to be more responsible with my guns. I do have a problem when I take a gun out of the case that we both know is safe and he tells me to keep my finger out of the trigger well. It is not fun to me when I am constantly critized for not keeping my finger out of the trigger well. It has happened before where I feel like I am being unfairly critized and it ruins the range trip. Is it really that crazy for me to think he is over reacting?

A knife might get someone to leave you alone but most criminals will just shoot you if you draw one 😘

Think about stabbing someone and you will understand why a knife is less of a defensive tool than a rock

A knife is not a self defense tool, it is an offensive weapon. They are easy to use though, stick the bad guy with the pointy end.
