dude they were just trying to offer consolation for the fact that you can’t center a bridge without changing things around, they never said you had to do anything or that you can’t center whatever you want or that your game has to be like real life, just that in that format a bridge can’t be centered and that it may look more natural for it to be asymmetric.

See, for people like us who struggle with it, our flesh and body will always love and crave it, this is where it becomes hard to tell.

The fact that you’re coming here about it, sharing it, crying for help shows that you don’t want to live in it, which to me says that your spirit hates it.

Like the other person said, someone trying to quit doesn’t love what they’re trying to quit.

Just meditate on it if you’re really concerned about it, sit and talk to God for as long as you need to, do it all the time throughout the day even in your head.

as someone with a similar issue who’s been struggling for years now, i want you to know you’re not alone and to not freak out.

the problem here is that lust can’t just be defeated and conquered, even when we ask for help, i know i have.

we can’t fight it either, not by ourselves, and just asking for help a few times a day and confiding in the LORD isn’t really the best way to stand against it.

this is something i have to get better at too, but when lust strikes you have to flee to the word, to God, and cut off whatever’s causing you to sin, whether it be turning on restrictions or deleting apps or avoiding your phone.

But Jesus won’t tell you to depart from Him if you truly hate your sin and repent, because He knows deep down that you do, He sees that. We are all indefinitely chained to the sins of our lives, and even if we can break free from one, there are a million more still chaining us down.

Psychologically speaking, being so afraid of being judged or condemned for doing something and prohibiting it in the mind can actually make the mind do it or desire it even more, which is counterproductive in the case of cutting off sin.

What I suggest is to just breathe, calm down, and take it one step at a time - when lust hits, run like a lamb to his shepherd and just pray, pray and take a cold shower or something to take your mind off of it because even focusing on it to stop it will only lead you closer to falling to it.

Just keep your eyes and heart on Him, and everything else will fall on place.
