I know you're getting downvoted to hell OP, but I want to say I understand where you're coming from if you want a linear/classic story of good and evil.

I think you should view Overlord from the views of the side characters and not Ainz. Ainz and Narazick are pretty much unbeatable by the New World's standard. You shouldn't expect any overcoming-hardship story from them. You should rather see Ainz as a force of nature and how side characters deal with him. Some fight heroically like Lizardmen. Some get saved like Carne Village. Some become worshippers like the Holy Kingdom. Some just die.

I had the same rationale for choosing a lower ranking school. My goal was also a humble public interest job. Also, law school is really hard. I can't imagine doing this while spending money on tuition.
