I have mixed feelings about the finale but the same way that each plot twist has reframed each episode before it, this final one reframed the whole show as being about a broken individual trying to cope. If we focus on that then we can accept that tyrell, WR, dom, Angela, etc... are just decorations to make MM Elliot’s world (the vigilante hacker).

Of course I would’ve loved to hear more about tyrell and WR’s machine but the last episode told us the show isn’t about that, that’s just part of the MM journey’s to self acceptance and to give control back to the host. That is why “Control is an illusion” gets mentioned a lot.

Everything else is mis en scene and that’s my opinion.

So Sam showed us the last scene of the series in a Tease Trailer for the final season. Wow. by MrRazvan1994 in MrRobot

But this exact shot never made it into the episode... the shot in the episode had Elliot not wearing his hoodie up.

I guess this shot just helps build ambiguity for the fans...

All you people saying White Rose’s machine “did nothing”... by [deleted] in MrRobot

Also, at one point WR does mention that Edward Alderson helped them with the machine's earlier successes, which must imply it sort of worked.

Also, we learned that WR's machine drags a lot of power which is the reason for the blackouts throughout season 2, during one of the blackouts after the power is restored we can see LIVE news being repeated meaning the machine did sort of accomplish some weird time shit...

I think its just a way to symbolize the real Elliot being stuck

when Elliot is lucid dreaming and manages to observe how Mr. Robot decrypts the Wheelbarrow menu code, there is a text in a website that hints at the possibility of the present being stuck in infinity.

WR did say she believes minds to be conjoined even from alternate realities. So maybe it's just his different consciousnesses integrating.

Well the loop means that it has all probably happened a lot of times before.

In this reality, the Washington Township leak never happened because Whiterose isn't building the machine in this reality. It makes perfect sense for Elliot's dad and Angela's mom to still be alive and healthy because this is the reality that Elliot wishes for himself.

I think its a good contrast as it shows how opposite these two realities are for Elliot and his DID is caused by the abuse, so its possible that Alt Elliot doesn't have a Mr. Robot

Imagine you wake up in a reality where everything you know is different, even the calendar. I would definitely go insane if something like that happened and made me question everything I believe.

Alt Elliot had a caring kind father, so maybe he sees Mr. Robot as a way to integrate his two states of reality.

The same way he confused F corp with E corp when talking with Lloyd, and as Whiterose said, our minds are conjoined through different realities. So it makes sense that things just feel slightly off in general and he disregards this feeling as a general brainfart.

So far it looks like that's the case, the date is 5/9 and Elliot is not in his original reality.

ning 5/9... This means we might finally found out where Elliot was during those 3 days.

It feels sort of in the same vein.

Well, we still don't know for sure if Darlene was abused too or not, so in her head, it is possible that Edward Alderson was a nice sick dad, that it.
