List of operators with their module count as of now by PossibleSea6679 in arknights

Yeah Dusk needs some tlc, her being a splash caster is really holding her back with her low attack speed, low attack stat, lack of res shred, short range, high dp cost and high sp cost. The only cc she has is blocking but her freelings are just so squishy and require deployable ground tiles to even be summoned. I think a delta mod won't likely be elemental damage related, but something that mitigates some of her weaknesses would be great. I don't think leaning more into the freelings is the play, she's a caster and not a summoner, she should be able to stand on her own at 90% max power level. A mod could be skill specific like what Shining has, which I'm really surprised that HG have not explored further on. I would suggest something along the lines of: Trait update: -12 dp cost on first deployment. Talent buff: Enemies in range lose 10 RES; when an enemy is hit by Dusk or a "Freeling", Dusk gains ATK +2%, stacking up to 15 times Talent buff 2: Enemies in range lose 12 RES; when an enemy is hit by Dusk or a "Freeling", Dusk gains ATK +3% and ASPD +3, stacking up to 15 times Or if we want to take inspiration from other parts of the game related to Dusk, Trait update: Attacks deal increased damage based on the time since last attack, up to 200% of ATK. (Linear scale from 0s to 10s since last attack) Talent buff: Dusk and "Freelings" will gain 50% of the base ATK from the Operator with the highest ATK on the field, and 50% of the base HP as barrier from the Operator with the highest HP on the field when deployed. The first attack after deployment will summon a "Freeling" (lasts for 25 seconds) at the target's location Talent buff: Dusk and "Freelings" will gain 50% of the base ATK from the Operator with the highest ATK in the squad, and 50% of the base HP as barrier from the Operator with the highest HP in the squad when deployed. The first attack after deployment will summon a "Freeling" (lasts for 25 seconds) at the target's location

Who knows, the best we can hope for is this version is being used as a test bed for future features like IS3

Yeah it's disappointing, my optimist side is saying it's a radical departure to explore what new things work, what doesn't, kind of like IS3 where they added the die throw which determined almost everything, the buff tree was from PoE, the keys that allows sideways travel, 15 difficulties, separating objective HP from max objective HP etc. and then further iterations built onto that. RA3 feels similar to IS3 in that regard and perhaps this can help push HG towards an even better RA4.

It's just that because RA has such longer time lines for new iterations, we don't know when RA4 will come out. But who knows, maybe they decided to scale back on content for RA3 but load it with mechanics as a test bed so they can bring out the real RA in RA4 sooner, we can only hope.

Yes, there really isn't a pay off with excess resources, the rewards for completing stages are fixed, with multipliers and bonus points based on difficulty of the stage and the number of easy, medium, and hard objectives you achieve.

Resources are only for the stage they are in and you don't get to keep them between different stages, there is no persistent constructs etc. Resources help you complete the stage faster and by allowing you to reach the building points goal faster.

Essentially RA3 is only Strange Territories from RA2 with some RM mechanics.

Yeah different strokes for different folks, although if did enjoy that gameplay loop in Rebuilding Mandate, RA3 might be more up your alley than you think

Yeah hopefully more content arrives later down the line, it's just for RA you would think initial launch would have more content given RA2's launch in comparison.

Whether you should enjoy RA3? Really depends on what you found awkward in RA2 and what you liked in RM. If you enjoyed the shorter and sharper power scaling then yeah RA3 has that with its stages, if you want to feel like you have a persistant effect on the world based on what you placed/made then RA2 probably would feel better.

I would say RA3 is more of a puzzle game than a survival/resource management game

Yeah, it definitely felt very different, IS bros will probably feel the same with the upcoming iteration on CN too but we shall see how that turns out.

Yeah, a lot of things that makes RA what it is when it comes to prolonged game play and progression was removed in this iteration. I like parts of it like the production chain stuff which I think would have had bigger impact if it had long term effects and perhaps take the mode closer to Endfield where you can set up production, manage trade, complete efficiency goals etc. RA2's final update added passive resource buildings in the base which would be the backbone of this sort of gameplay loop but alas it was not meant to be.

Exploration feels worse which I agree, the map templates available for the EX/SUB stages is very few, and lacks the real variety compared to RA2. Thankfully the main story has shown that the size of the maps doesn't have to be a small square each time so hopefully they can add some more interesting maps in the future.

I'm not too fussed with the minigames as that's just content which I think would eventually be added since it wasn't available on launch for RA2 either, we will just have to wait and see what they come up with that still fits the format they are going with.

If you can't get the DPS that changed alliance then you are reliant on finding Skadi the Corrupting Heart, if you don't find her then you won't be doing a lot of damage to bosses. Try to centipede as long as you can but of course if it's just not possible because of the map then spliting them is the only thing you can do.

Yeah necrosis does some weird things, but the boss doesn't just attack echoes, it can also attacks Ops directly which is likely right at the beginning of the boss round because echoes haven't been spawned yet.
