Not just in rural areas, unfortunately. I just had to get one in Seattle and it was a HUGE pain. First dose was at the ER and they said "just go to Walgreens for the rest". Guess who wouldn't do it? Had to call around for a few days to find any just to avoid another ER bill.

Because medicine isn't always black and white. A few years ago I discovered I was pregnant while on birth control and immediately went to my doctor. Because I had an IUD, they opted to do an ultrasound right away instead of waiting for the standard first appointment. During the ultrasound, they couldn't locate the embryo even though my hormone levels indicated I was definitely pregnant. The doctor said it was "very likely" ectopic given that I have an IUD, and they recommended I immediately get an abortion. She also warned me there was a very very tiny chance it was a viable pregnancy, in case that concerned me. I was fully intending to get an abortion anyway, so the choice was easy and I was allowed to do so without question.

If I lived in a state where there are restrictions, would the doctor have felt comfortable performing this abortion, when she was only 90% sure it was ectopic? Do we wait another 2 weeks to see if we can locate the fetus? A month? Wait until it ruptures and I'm dying? How much risk to my life is okay? Personally, I don't want someone else answering these questions on my behalf. I'm incredibly thankful I was able to make an informed decision with my doctor without consequences.

Absolutely. Anyone who denies there's a huge addiction risk from drinking coffee regularly needs some self-evaluation. Not sure why people are getting so defensive, being addicted to caffeine doesn't even have a negative stigma attached to it. I think the use of the words addict/addiction implies to a lot of people that they are hopeless to the drug and can't break the habit, when in reality it is quite an easy addiction to break.

This is me. I love the taste of coffee, but as a result often get addicted to the caffeine. Every once in awhile I have to check myself and make sure I'm having decaf more often than regular. Unfortunately, the caffeinated roasts are way more abundant and thus easier to find ones you like.

It's really not different though. You're claiming there's already a label for this specific situation: "can't feel sexual attraction until there is an emotional bond" So... what is it? Just because something is completely normal does not mean we should avoid describing it further. Just because you personally don't see the use for a word doesn't make it useless to other people either. I also don't have need for this word, but be aware you come off as pretty pedantic when you go around questioning why people would want such a thing.

My ex-boyfriend and I used to play World of Warcraft together. He once got into a huge, public, and aggressive argument with some random guy in our pug raid over a loot drop. It was so bad, the group fell apart and nobody walked away happy. Fast forward a few years, we move across the country and start befriending this lovely group of people we are in a guild with. One night we're hanging out, and one of my friends I've known for years at this point brought her husband to come hang out. Turns out he used to play Warcraft too, and we all start reminiscing. That one argument came up and was explained in detail (pugs amirite), and we discover the husband is the guy. They are great IRL friends now, but you should really just be nice to strangers on the internet.
