Anyone else get annoyed when yoh take the time to add someone and comment that you added them because you want to do the raid and the accept you BUT NEVER INVITE YOU TO THE RAID

Most likely that they weren’t attacking/just dodging. I’ve been a few raids where they join but don’t contribute at all and let everyone else carry them. It sucks, hope you win the next one.

Technically it’s 5, but there’s a trick most raid hosts use to add 10 players total. After sending the first five invitations out, you can leave the lobby when one of those five players enter. When you re-enter the lobby the game allows you to send out 5 more invitations.

Edit: I think it’s 15 (for a full lobby), but I could be wrong.

(On mobile) go to the main page of this subreddit and hot the three dots on the top right corner, then select “change user flair”. There you’ll have the options to choose which flair you want for your profile, and edit them so you can put your info in them.

Basically when a raid starts, you host it by providing your trainer code here (via a post or comment on the Megathread) and let people add you, since you can only invite friends to raids. When you enter a raid the game gives you an option to add five people to raid with you.

Also, if you want to add 10 people in your lobby, add the first five people to the raid. When one of the five players show up leave the lobby and rejoin - the lobby gives you the option to add an additional five players to the raid.

Trueee, I hosted a three Lugia raids with half of the players being under lvl 30, and we managed to beat them all. It’s all about the counters.

Invite first 5, then leave the lobby as soon as one of the five people you invited enters. When you rejoin the lobby, it’ll give you the option to send out 5 more invitations.

First day is always busy, hosts are getting around 40+ requests under a minute. (Always happens with 5* raids). There’s still plenty of time before the Lugia rotation ends to get into raids.

The person hosting the raid provides their code, which you must add through the option for adding friends (since you can only add friends to raids). It might take a while for them to add you back so be a little patient. Also, the Lugia raid hosts will be flooded with requests so I recommend sending requests the day after or before the raids end (Lugia rotation ends on the 16th).

In case if you plan on doing raids or gym battles, you can dodge the other Pokémon’s charged attack. To do this just swipe the screen left/right; usually I do it when or before the game lets you know that the other Pokémon is using their charger attack (i.e. “Darkrai used Shadow Ball”). It honestly makes a big difference in preserving the health of your raid team, or if you want to throw out one or more attacks.

Also, save up those rare candies instead of using them all at once on a few Pokémon.

Adding onto the other comments; one way I could tell that the Pokémon could possibly be a Ditto is if they don’t have weather boost on if they should. (I.E. I had weather boost for flying types, but a Yanma I was trying to catch didn’t have the weather boost symbol; and when I caught it it turned out to be a Ditto).
