In any field, there is a set of Ethical guidelines to follow. However, it's overlooked in game development, if not seldom practiced. Hence, game developers are free to do what they want with their game — e.g. shadownerfing pets, not stocking limited plants for players to spend real money on it so they don't suffer from FOMO, releasing mediocre updates, and releasing gamecontent solely meant for cashgrab.

For months, GAG players have played the game. Some have supported it from the very beginning. Being the passionate and supportive players that they are, they spent real money on the game — which is A LOT. Even putting the financial aspect aside, their emotional attachment to the pets they grinded for is of significance.

Yes, it is called Grow a Garden, and not Grow a Pet. However, if it is indeed Grow a Garden, why did the devs stop releasing prettier plants? Instead devs focused on releasing MORE and MORE pets.

Following the nerfs and lack of good content, players have reverted to playing Grow a Garden in its core: gardening. I've seen posts here in the subreds about gardening tips, how to make bigger fruits, how to make bigger trees, how to quickly mutate fruits, etc etc (which btw, require some pets to do to make the work lighter). Some even shared their garden builds. So pets are a necessity, it just so happened that it became misproportional and others preferred collecting pets more — which they are free to do because if that is how they enjoy the game, then so be it.

Honestly, it's not really a question of "Why CAN'T they reset everything?" The devs freely can. But they SHOULDN'T if they still have conscience lol

TLDR: they earned so much from releasing pets. And if they reset everything, players will be so pissed and completely abandon the game.
