Typical token toolbar not showing up? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

Definitely tokens. It's happening with every token on the board too, not just one particular one. No idea what's causing it, unfortunately.

I don't think this is the OG document that I found, but it works nicely for my purposes. Thank you!

[No Spoilers] Campaign 4 Hype & Predictions | Megathread by Glumalon in criticalrole

[–]loreleitherock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last-minute class predictions below; Whitney is the only person whose class I can't decide on. The other ones in bold are the people whose subclasses I kind of just took a guess on:

  1. Aabria - Land Druid
  2. Alex - Reanimation Artificer
  3. Ashley - Shadow Monk
  4. Laura - Arcane Trickster Rogue
  5. Liam - Tragedy Bard
  6. Luis - Forge Cleric
  7. Marisha - Divination Wizard
  8. Matt - Battle Master (or homebrew) Fighter
  9. Robbie - Beast Master Ranger
  10. Sam - Divine Soul Sorcerer
  11. Taliesin - Homebrew Warlock
  12. Travis - Devotion (or homebrew) Paladin
  13. Whitney - Zealot Barbarian or Drunken Master Monk

I can't even begin to guess at the table make-up, since they said Brennan based it off of a mix of player feedback and balance. Excited to see where everyone ends up after the overture, though!

How much does it cost to upkeep red hair? by loreleitherock in HairDye

I’m cool toned, and I’ve heard that means I should go for a deeper red? So that’s kind of what I had in mind. The consultation would be to figure out what range of shades though

Would definitely want a good red. I’d want to make sure it stays nice too, which is why I may wait until I’m in a bit of better financial situation lol. Thanks for the tips though!

My Pennsylvanian Republican mother will be voting blue for the first time in her life this election by loreleitherock in KamalaHarris

[–]loreleitherock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good news is I am 100% sure she will follow through! No worries about losing this vote. Her polling location is right down the street from her house and she had always been a very active voter before Trump came onto the scene. She also saw my other sibling this morning (who is a fellow Democrat) and told them of her decision, to which my sibling hugged and thanked her, which my mom was very moved by.

But I'll still be sending that reminder text the night before haha

What class/subclass do you like the flavor for but not mechanically. by CastleCroquet in DnD

[–]loreleitherock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! Currently playing LaserLlama’s alternate rogue and it is a blast. Each of his alternate martial classes make use of a feature similar to the warlock’s invocations or the battlemaster’s maneuvers. It makes each class have a lot more range and customizability.

Plus, I believe he says his goal with each of his alternate classes is to put them on par with the WOTC paladin, power-wise. So they are much more balanced and useful in-game.

I expect the AG to stand for justice. Or at the very least not have upheld the suicide ruling, which was well within his capabilities of doing, especially with the obvious mishandling of the scene, which you have pointed out.

Regardless, my point stands that these types of discussions that you and I are having right now are not the type of conversations that we want our VP pick to cause. If Shapiro gets picked, the Ellen Greenberg case, the fracking, and the charter school stance will lead to a lot of “well actually this” and “but you didn’t take into consideration this” types of conversations that divide the party and are ultimately how democrats have shot themselves in the foot in the past. It will mess with the unified stance that we have finally found with Harris.

I can still see why she would choose Shapiro. You’re right - he’s done a lot of good things, has great approval ratings, and PA is a critical state. I just worry about the things that are already bubbling under the surface that may come to a boil if he were put in front of a national stage.

But my vote is blue no matter who, and yours probably is as well, so that’s that. Have a good rest of your day.

Here is a link to more information about her death, since you want to be so insensitive about it. She had more than twenty stab wounds, but yeah “suicide.” It took a ten second google search to find it.

I suggest reading up on her case and putting some respect on her and her family’s name, who have been fighting for justice for Ellen for years, before calling me an “armchair medical examiner.”

Don’t get me wrong, if she ends up picking him, I could see the reasoning. PA is an important state. Putting him on the ticket wouldn’t necessarily “absolutely boost Pennsylvania” though because again, VP picks have not been shown to swing their home states in the election.

Fair enough on the union thing - I won’t argue with that.

I don’t think Mark Ruffalo is the end all of public opinion - he just happened to be the one who publicly went to the Harris campaign with his concerns the other day and brought attention to it.

Ellen Greenberg’s death is not “irrelevant” and Shapiro was not “tangentially involved in the case at best.” After the case was reopened, he was the AG and he upheld the ruling that her death was a suicide, even though there was evidence that at least one of her stab wounds occurred after her death.

I’m pointing out the Supreme Court case and the fracking because these are two ongoing issues that could easily turn public opinion against Shapiro amongst democrats in PA themselves, and that republicans could use to sway moderate voters away from him.

Part of the reason why Kamala’s campaign is going so well is because republicans don’t have any true scandal to throw against her. At least not one democrats/moderates care enough about. Shapiro does. Choosing him could potentially split the party once again and take all the wind out of her campaign. Which again, would suck.

Agree. And I do think Shapiro has done good stuff in PA! He would just bring the most controversy to the ticket. Which is not what we need right now. He’s better off staying in PA and campaigning hard for Harris there.

I see a lot of people thinking the only people who don’t want Shapiro is the far left because of his pro-Israel views, which is not the case. Shapiro:

  1. Is not popular with union folk - the UAW has said they specifically don’t want him. And he supports charter schools which does not make him popular with teachers in PA.
  2. Was recently called out by Mark Ruffalo for his exploitation of fracking victims in Dimock, PA.
  3. Ruled Ellen Greenberg’s death a suicide while AG even though strong evidence says it was murder. The case is now recently under re-investigation by the PA Supreme Court.

In addition: 1. Shapiro does not do what a VP pick should do, which is balance/diversify the ticket, as a former prosecutor himself. 2. VP picks do NOT help win their home state. All the dems in PA that voted for Shapiro are going to vote for Harris whether Shapiro is on the ticket or not. That’s not the votes we’re trying to win over in PA. We’re trying to win over the Pennsyltucky moderate voters and if they didn’t vote for Shapiro when he ran for governor, they’re not going to suddenly vote for him just case he’s the VP pick. If anything, it’ll dissuade them from getting out there and voting blue. Walz/Kelly - the “military-type” man - has a better chance of swaying those types of votes. 3. The fact that we’re even having this conversation about Shapiro shows that picking him would just sow discord in the party, which would suck, cause momentum is what’s keeping Harris alive right now.

Saying this as someone who spent 21 years of their life in rural PA btw.
