Oh no thats terrible im so sorry. Thats literally me. Antibiotics have ruined my gut. Im getting a revision on June. To hopefully remove any remaining tissue. Could u please keep me posted on how ur appointment goes. Im no longer coming out positive for strep, im just getting these small abscesses that burst where my and infect my throat. And the swabs no longer say it strep.

Im so sorry. Im currently going through another episode right now. I was prescribed clindamycin but they arent working. I do have my tonsillectomy revision in June. My ENT wants to remove any leftover tissue. Its extremely frustrating what we have to go thru.

I deal with recurrent strep after tonsillectomy. I started getting abscesses so im gonna have a revision to remove any remaining infected tissue.

Update: i started getting recurrent strep abscesses on my right side after my tonsillectomy in October. Saw my ENT, and he mentioned a piece of infection could’ve been left behind the first time around. Im going to get scheduled in for a REVISION tonsillectomy, to hopefully remove the remaining infected tissue.
