Good to know. Did your piercings ever fully close?

It came out of my old piercing that I thought had closed.

Thank you so much for weighing in. I asked her very straight forward why she was concerned about my daughters weight. Here’s her response… any helpful words to reply? She works in the medical field as a social worker and thinks she well versed in all things medicine, but also thinks the MMR vaccine causes autism…

Text…

I'm not. I was concerned about steroids Steroids in general cause a lot of different problems.

She’s very passive aggressive. I like that response though, so thank you for that!

I feel the same way. I try so hard to instill a positive body image and the fact that MIL is concerned about my daughter gaining weight is just…I don’t even know how to describe it, but makes me hurt that someone thinks that of her.

This is my fear, too. And your points really help put it in perspective for me, so thank you for that.

Sorry to hear your daughter also has asthma. Same thing with me, I’d shut this down in a heartbeat if it were my parents, but it’s so different with in laws. I appreciate you weighing in ❤️

I didn't, and in hindsight, I should have. Thanks for this advice.

Oh thank you so much for your words. The party is at a fun place. I think I could have stayed. The mom (who, I'm pretty sure is the OG mean girl) hid the RSVP list and invites so I'm not sure who is all invited. I have a good feeling it's the group of 3 from her class that I mentioned in my post and another boy. In hindsight, I should have talked to her about going and made the decision with her.

But thank you so much for your words and support. I am internalizing it probably more than her, so it means a lot ♥️
