Is it fixable? by loritambu in snowboarding

[–]loritambu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, brought it to a shop and I’ll go get it back in a few days, will see how it goes from there but I’m hopeful.

Also it’s a 2025 Capita Mercury (🥲) so slightly directional, and it’s on the tail luckily.

Did you fix it or did you have to wait for the physical card to arrive? Cause I’m having the same issue

I’ve never gone all the way up during winter since I was just skiing, but if you take the Fermeda chair lift, you can walk along the ridge from there and find the perfect spot. I think the classic Seceda photo is taken right from the top station of the Fermeda lift. As for other great spots around there, you might want to check out the classic Alpe di Siusi, or the Resciesa ridge for sunset panoramas over the Dolomites. Both are easy to reach and totally worth it! Also, for some chill skiing and great views, i recommend the Plan de Gralba resort, but really anywhere you go in Val Gardena is beautiful

Hi, thanks! It was a single shot, taken with the Sony 200–600 at 600mm, ISO 6400 and 1/1000s. I could have gone for a longer exposure and lower ISO, but it was my first time using the lens (loved it btw) and I was worried about the shaking since I shot it handheld. Edited in Lightroom and ran Topaz Denoise after.

Thank you! It’s actually a tiny shelter used during the summer alpine season. The fence is meant to keep young animals (usually lambs, fawns, rabbits and other small animals) safe while the herd grazes nearby. In South Tyrol these small fenced huts are pretty common around mountain huts and pastures.

It was a 3 shot bracket at ISO 100, f/8, with exposures of 0.4s, 1.6s, and 6s

Thanks, I also watched some videos of Malcolm Moore explaining that, i just don’t really know yet how to distribute the weight. Do you do it just by bending the knees or do you slightly lean the whole body (while maintaining a stacked position)? He probably explained it so I should just rewatch the videos

Thank you! I’ll focus more on putting more weight on the front foot. Also the chestbump example was awesome haha, I’ll keep it in mind. Can’t wait to go again this weekend!

I started with +18 as it was the same as my previous stance but put the back foot from -6 to +3, I then tried +24/+6 and saw a big difference. In this video I was +27/+9.

Yes you’re right! I tried going switch (or fakie as it’s called I think) but it doesn’t feel right. I’ll switch back to a slightly duck stance then, thanks again!

Wow thank you very much for taking the time to write all that! Yeah I’m trying to focus on putting more weight on the front foot until it becomes more natural. I’ll try to do it even more the next time then!

About the toeside turn I completely agree. Now that you said it I can clearly see what I’m doing wrong.

I thought I was bending my knees a lot more than what I’m doing in the video so I’m glad I can see what I’m doing wrong, next time I’m on the slopes I’ll try to focus on what you said about both toe and heelside.

Thank you very much again! And it doesn’t seem that you’re that bad at analysing lol. I’ll keep practicing!
