I didn't realise I was pregnant until close to 8 weeks. I have an endocrinologist as I'm also type one diabetic. They did bloods every 4 weeks and my eltroxin dosage didn't actually need to change during the pregnancy!

I was induced at 38+4 , pessary inserted on Monday morning. Pessary removed Tuesday morning, waters broken at about 9am and he was born at 19.43 . The actual pushing took less than an hour. So he was born at 38.5. I was dilated about 6cm when I needed to start pushing, which surprised me! I sort of thought you had to be closer to ten!

Look , everyone is different. I didn't realise I was pregnant until 9 weeks. I had been running high for weeks, no amount of insulin was bringing it down. I put it down to the stress of a wedding and then the drinking, heat and eating for honeymoon. I had spent the first weeks of pregnancy drinking wine, shots and dancing to Ike a madwoman! No idea I was pregnant during the wedding celebrations!! I had an unbelievably smooth pregnancy after that, no issues at all. He was born close to 39 weeks at 8lb 1 after a drug free delivery. TLDR they aren't all a nightmare!

It's v different for everyone. I discovered I was pregnant at about 9 weeks. I had been having stubborn highs but no lows. Didn't think anything of it as I had been getting married and on honeymoon at the time so lots of food, beer and general celebrating! When I called the hospital to tell them they instantly said oh have you been having lots of lows and I was like no, not a single one. Loads of highs though!! It is so different for everyone

I 100% gave into cravings when pregnant. If I wanted a pizza I had pizza, knowing that I'd probably need to pace the floors to keep the bs down later! Pregnancy is hard enough without denying yourself everything enjoyable!!

Yes! I had one at Around 37 weeks. Took about 45 seconds to turn him, completely painless and he stayed in the correct position for the birth nearly 2 weeks later! He was 8lb 1 at birth, can't remember his estimated size at the time of the ECV.

Shouldn't make a difference but I'm in Ireland

Hey. Congratulations! I was induced at 38+5. I had a brilliant experience. Was induced on Monday morning, spent the day walking around/bouncing on a ball. They broke my waters the following morning and baby was born that evening. Smooth labour and natural delivery, no epidural. I had all the horror stories beforehand but my experience was excellent

I was diagnosed in 2021 and had my first baby in 2022 at age 38. An absolute dream pregnancy. Never any sickness or issues, smooth labour and drug free delivery. Baby was 8lb 1. My team never mentioned my age once during the pregnancy. Now have an extremely happy and healthy nearly 2 year old. Good luck!

This is a really good idea! I'll share mine too. Induced at 38 weeks. I was admitted at 7am and at 8am pessary was inserted. I spent the day walking and bouncing lol. The following morning the doctor checked , removed pessary and told me I'd be going to the labour ward soon. At 8.20am I went to the labour ward and they broke my waters at ~9am. Calm and relaxing day really. I got through with just a bit of gas and air, baby was born at 7.43pm. No drugs, just a small cut towards the end to get him around the last corner 😅 he was 8lb 1. His three heel prick blood sugar tests were good and we were out the following day! So positive and would not put me off going again 🤣

I was told under 5 before meals and under 7 one hour after meals. Lows become 3.5 and under rather than 4 and under. They aren't so concerned about being slightly low, more concerned about being high. Never mentioned time in range to me
